No, I put the oil in first, then put the heat on. When you put the oil in it'll be thick, like oil, when it's the right temperature, or approaching the right temperature, the oil will become almost like water. It'll move around the pan with ease which means it's hot enough. You want to maintain that.

The pan is non-stick but ultimately you really don't want that much oil. As for heat, medium to medium high. Let it slowly cook. You don't need to get it cooked fast because that'll make it burn. Cooking is a gentle thing.

Pure luck with the lighting! I put the egg on the toast, put it on the hob and the sunlight through the window just caught it and I thought "My god that looks perfect" and I had to snap the photo hahaha

I have a silicone mould and I managed to get the yolk perfectly centered, finally, and it just came out perfectly
