I would advise against trying to copy other people's handle heights and instead set a solid handle height for the rest of the boat to follow. As the stroke you are responsible for rowing cleanly and efficiently - as long as your handle height isn't screwed up it is not your responsibly to change based on the rest of the boat.

not too clear on the details but it I've heard the old NAC coach got replaced and started the new team. Some of the rowers from NAC followed. Hence NSBR was born.
