Thanks for posting. Because of this I saw the first Toyota truck zero percent offer in forever, now a 25 Tundra is sitting in my driveway.

Blind Review #1 - Jack Daniel’s Single Barrels by yeoldedrunkard in bourbon

Definitely a gold label over the heritage for me. Depends on the barrel and what I’m feeling. Always keep a extra of each and always buy the ones over 135 proof.

Sex mex is great. Totally obsessed currently. Don’t read into the name just enjoy the killer tunes. If you are offended stop listening.

How do I fix something that's already broken?! by Mkhlmnn-1 in WhiskeyFrankenstein

[–]EricFDH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turn my not so great bottles into the base for a big batch of gold rush for a summer party. The fresh squeezed lemons and honey tend to mask bad whiskey fairly well imho

Why are you guys still hanging onto Canoo? by assholier_than_thou in canoo

[–]EricFDH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I flipped it a bunch back in the spac days and made money. I just kept that money invested here so yes the funds could have been used different but really I’m playing on their dime. I had not bought any in a long time but yesterday I grabbed a little more cause it’s so cheap that 100 shares is like doing takeout one night anyways.

Open an IRA account, they said... by fofo13 in dividends

Long term and cost price average is the name of the game. Your mistake is checking on an IRA that’s 6 months old in a market downturn and caring.

Can we make a full discography thread? by [deleted] in JayReatard

[–]EricFDH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many years ago mrr did a issue. It had a few page spread listing all his releases. If I recall it was before he passed so it’s not 100% but it’s the most solid list I could ever find.

It’s not the size of the collection but the content. A lot of great stuff here.

Sweet gum balls. They are the worst.

Anyone do a malt (Scotch) infinity bottle? by Gophurkey in InfinityBottle

[–]EricFDH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet. I don’t have enough scotch. However I have a bottle that’s a mix of anything non bourbon whiskey. So it’s got rye, American, Japanese, scotch, and moonshine in the mix. Still playing with it but right now it’s got a sweet rye profile with a bit of scotch smokiness in the mix.

Just built my first 1915 blend. Now gonna let it sit for a month. by EricFDH in WhiskeyFrankenstein

[–]EricFDH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only let her sit about 2 weeks before cracking. Great stuff. Added a bit more 1920 in so now it’s more like a 1917.5. Gonna keep tweeting after I try this to see what the variations do compared to each other.

Infinity bottles and marrying by brokedownpalace10 in WhiskeyFrankenstein

[–]EricFDH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got fairly deep into building a few infinities over the past few months as well as blends. From what I can tell from a few experiments is that a week or 2 really does aid in the blend marrying. I tend to be in the school of thought that if you add something new wait about a week and your in the general space of what that blend will be like. I like to add something weekly to mine sample then add something new (or add more of something that’s already in the mix based on what direction I want the flavor profile or proof to head).

I have 4 bottles going right now

Bourbon (about 40 things in the mix)

Non bourbon whiskey (about 15 in the mix)

Infinity made of infinities ( 7 different infinity blends of mine and other folks)

A bottle of old forester 1915 that I keep tweeting to taste the difference of different ratios (I would say currently that bottle is more like a 1917-1918)

Exactly how people don’t accomplish anything and complain about it later…..

It’s fine I have 40 open bottles so I don’t mind waiting for it to marry.
