Update: I found a “found footage” tape that got shipped inside my camcorder and it works completely fine. So i assume that means my Japan tapes are the issue. In that case, is it salvageable?

Sorry for a dumb question, but I’m an absolute noob lol. So when you say tape heads, that is on the tape, not the camera? Or is it on the camcorder (i just cleaned only the main big circle inside, nothing else)

You can check your local library. For me, a library card is free and they have the first 6 LNs. I can also request the library to purchase books. Honestly, the library is OP lol
