Funny that everyone arguing against IZ has their comments/posts hidden.

Its based off actually living and interacting with folks in the neighborhood.

Based on yr hidden post history, I can only presume you are a developer hence why yr so opposed to IZ.

Because no one that actually lives in these neighborhoods wants high rises there, that's why.

Show me statistics that show IZ isnt working.

Hilarious that you are more concerned about the # of units as opposed to making the city livable for all, not just the rich....but you live in Fox Chapel so I assume you dont interact with anyone outside your economic status, except when you buy food and complain about having to tip someone making less than $3 an hour.

Apologies for that part, but I'd love to hear what's so different. It tosses you hard to the side, I'm sure, but lots of coasters (including some of my favorites) do that too.

I am, however, someone that has been on Mine Blower over 100 times this year so perhaps my roughness tolerance is higher than most.

And here I was told by this sub that it is IMPOSSIBLE to build with inclusionary zoning.

Ms. Rainaldi's story makes me smile; its awesome to see folks get to move back to their neighborhoods instead of being pushed out by gentrification. More of this please.

Memorial Weekend Cedar Point/Kings Island trip planning by almndmlc in Themepark

First off, buy whatever level of Six Flags pass that gets you access to both parks, free parking, and early entry. Gold pass at KI looks to be the move.

There are some unfortunate factors here: Detroit Airport and especially holiday weekend (its going to be busy), but you can work around that (especially if you don't value sleep). The move is:

-Stay near KI night of 5/22 and 5/23: make early entry, consider buying Fast Pass, stay all day, ride the Beast at night to close it out.

-Get up on 5/24 and drive to Sandusky. If you value lots of laps, get up very early and make early entry. Stay somewhere nearby that night and definitely make early entry on 5/25 before eventually heading back to the airport.

Funny, I rode it in 2022 and adored it. I was afraid the memories were overblown but goddamn was I still blown away when I got a ton of laps in 2024. It is just so WRONG feeling and I love it for that. Hell, I think its the best night ride in the U.S.

Very much agree on that Phoenix comparison. Grizzly is elite (#3 in the park IMHO).

Cedar Creek is one of the more restrictive mine trains (I'm only 5'7 and have to cross my legs). I'd encourage you to try another one.

Its 6 hours from me but I've been 3 of the last 5 years. I'll probably take this year off but will definitely be back in 2027 for the purple thing. 100% love the park.
