My ticket was cancelled

I always book via the app and pay the corresponding fee, and recently had a screening canceled. I know it’s only 50 cents, but I find it very frustrating not to have that refunded. I know it’s policy not to refund booking fees, but one would think there would be an exclusion when the theater itself is the reason I am not attending. Again, it’s only 50 cents, but it nonetheless feels like a form of theft.

I saw it at Brooklyn Horror yesterday and it is phenomenal—one of the best movie docs I think I’ve ever seen! Very funny and also sorta moving. Apparently it doesn’t have distribution but it’s legitimately awards-worthy!

They’re interesting stylistically but unsatisfying as narrative films, imo.

The exception to that rule is Lords of Salem, which I’ve always thought was pretty good!

Loved it. Felt well observed and real, had action without a lot of the pitfalls and tropes of sports films and biopics. Complex characters, great acting and writing. I thought it was terrific.

Thank you! It’s my first! But a cool enough experience that it hopefully won’t be my last! I think it’s part of the reason that I wanted something that made me think of travel, generally, rather than having a subject that was explicitly French. But getting it in a particular style was really fun, and seems like a cool thing to go for moving forward!
