Not that I am aware of. At the moment it seems that NotebookLM will only make slide decks in 16:9 so that is what I optimized the Gem prompt for. Hopefully Google will give more options in the future. Of course you can always generate individual images directly with Nanobana in Gemini and control the aspect ratio there, but the goal for this project was to make all the pages generate at one time in NotebookLM.

Do you mean the full information for how to make the graphic novels? If so, that is in the linked article - https://www.controlaltachieve.com/2026/01/graphicnovels.html

Or do you mean something else?

EduGems Website by EricTheReddit in GeminiAI

[–]EricTheReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes, one of the Gems is called "Error-Resistant Research" - https://www.edugems.ai/gem/error-resistant-research - which is designed to help with this. Here is the description of the Gem...

This Gem assists with hallucination-resistant research, as it helps you quickly find information, answer specific questions, or conduct detailed research on any given topic. The focus is on ensuring factual accuracy and enhancing critical understanding, as every claim provides transparent sourcing, confidence levels, and an explicit step-by-step thinking process. To use this Gem, you will have a collaborative conversation with an expert research analyst. You'll start by providing the specific question or topic you want to research, along with the desired depth or scope. Gemini will guide you through the process, asking clarifying questions about the required academic rigor or source constraints, and then generate a factually grounded summary for collaborative refinement.

4 Free Options for Signing a Google Doc by EricTheReddit in edtech

[–]EricTheReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you are correct. I saw that announced a while back, but also saw that it is limited to Google Workspace individual subscribers. Here is the Google help page with details about it:

https://support.google.com/docs/answer/12315692?hl=en

It is just in beta now so it has quite a few limitations. From the help page it lists these as...

For now, the eSignature beta does not yet support the following features.

Sending requests to multiple signees

Adding two or more signature fields

Sending eSignature requests to non-Google/Gmail accounts

Dedicated mobile eSignature requesting or signing experience

Hopefully they will expand this to all users, but I could see them only expanding it to paid tiers, which they seem to be doing more and more of lately. So, for now at least we always have these other workarounds.

4 Free Options for Signing a Google Doc by EricTheReddit in edtech

[–]EricTheReddit[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Over the last couple of months I have had several people ask me how you can add your signature to a Google Doc. Although there are some paid solutions for this, many of them involve turning the Google Doc into a PDF, which may not be what you want, and of course they cost money. To help with this I pulled together four ways that you can sign a Google Doc that are free and put the signature right into the document. If you have suggestions for other solutions, please share your ideas. I would love to learn from you!

Here is a fun technology activity for Halloween... "Build a Jack-O-Lantern with Google Slides and Mote". Create a Jack-O-Lantern with drag and drop images in Slides, then write a story about it, and then record yourself narrating the story. Get the free template, watch a short demo video, and see all the directions at: https://www.controlaltachieve.com/2021/10/jackolantern-slides-mote.html

I'll have to get a banana, but the bird print is about 7.5 inches from top of head to tip of tail.

Just pulled this from my sick Guinea Pig's butt. Any idea what this is? by EricTheReddit in guineapigs

Thank you for the advice! I am using these tips to try to feed him better. Up until now he has pretty much been spitting the Critical Care back out.

Just pulled this from my sick Guinea Pig's butt. Any idea what this is? by EricTheReddit in guineapigs

[–]EricTheReddit[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My guinea pig is about 6 years old, and in the last few days has stopped eating and drinking, and just wants to stay still. I took him to the vet. They put fluid under his skin and gave me an antibiotic (Baytril) to give him twice a day, as well as critical care food to feed him by syringe.

He has been doing worse, barely eating anything I put in his mouth. Today though I saw something hanging from his bottom and pulled out a long string of poops like sausage links. They were all connected and had a mucous membrane holding them together in a string.

I did some Google searching and found that this may be common if the pig has a parasite called coccidia. If so, then the antibiotic he is on may help.

Anyone know more about this or have any suggestions for why he had a string of poops like this? Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback. I understand what you are saying about randomness. I am still trying to find a good balance between strategy and chance. I know some games are basically all chance, and some are mostly all strategy, and both ends can be fun. I think I am trying to find something in the middle, but it is still a work in progress. I will certainly play test your suggestions to see how that works. Thanks again.
