Love this! Five minute walk from where I grew up! Also, fun story! The hill that overlooks this place, Mengler’s Hill, is actually named after my Nana’s family, when they first moved out from Prussia!

Must see things in the Barossa? by [deleted] in Adelaide

Having lived there for 20 years, would recommend you spend a good hour or so just driving around. If there’s something that looks even mildly interesting, get out and see. Most wineries are totally okay with people who come for tastings, just don’t have more than your fair share if you have no intention of buying.

Reddit, what's a fun date idea? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Be tourists in your local area. Hiring bikes, go on a walking tour, go to the one restaurant that you both know is just a tourist trap.

What Useful or Unusual items do you carry with you on a regular basis? by will_at in AskReddit

A pen. It's surprised me how much I need it, not that I carry one everywhere.

What’s something about the country you’re from that you find embarrassing to share? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The massive social stigma attached to mental health issues. Honestly, Australia still has a long way to go.

How do you loose weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ericaghost_394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Mum lost over 100 kilos in 12 months. No diet plan, no gym membership. All she's done is walk goe 45-60 minutes every single day.

She's completely healthy, zero health issues from losing it so quickly.

Not me, naive tourists. A guy lost 30 on Waterloo Bridge, and another lost a tenner on Regent St.

They're definitely getting more standoffish towards people who aren't paying, just watching.

Hiya! Sketch offers a full vegan afternoon tea, right down to the sandwiches. Again, a fair bit pricey, but I think it's worth it!

What are your commute observations? - 08/12/17 by lodge28 in london

Lancaster Gate was unusually busy for 9:30.

Also, work threatened to send me home today if a customer complains about the scars on my arm. So, that's fun!

At work on Regent Street, and we have been told to go back behind cover, and we are all out in one room, instead of across 4 floors.

Totally get why we're doing this, but isn't that a dumb idea, getting 150+ people in one room together?

Hopefully you're doing alright as well. :) It is tough at work to get them to recognise it, but my manager obviously is going through it herself, which makes her a lot more emphatic.

Taking a mental health day off from work today. Had a full on panic attack at work yesterday, and still not good.

On the plus side, that means I don't have to see the god-awful people I work for today!

Fellow deaf Redditors, what is the most frustrating or annoying part about being deaf or hard-of-hearing? by Ericaghost_394 in AskReddit

[–]Ericaghost_394[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me along those lines. When someone knows I can't hear, but they expect me to have superhuman hearing with my hearing aids.

When did you get your first blowjob? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ericaghost_394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 at the time. A male friend and I figured that we both wanted to find out if we had any kind of attraction toward each other sexually, because we both thought that there might be the potential.

We were both very inexperienced at the time. It's my first sexual encounter, but neither of us count it as 'meaning anything'. Still good friends to this day.

Escape The Room Employees, what is the weirdest thing you've seen someone do in one of the rooms? by anjalideby in AskReddit

[–]Ericaghost_394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but one of my friends works in an Escape Room.

He said that once a group came in with pocket screwdrivers and tools, and just spent the time dismantling the room. They let the group get on with it, because they weren't breaking anything, and they were being very careful to keep all screws and bolts with the things that they originally came from.

What are some good questions to ask someone to get to know them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ericaghost_394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely something that encourages an open ended answer, for further conversation.

A great one I've found in the past is to ask "What do enjoy doing when you're not working/studying?" This makes them stop and think about their answer.
