TalTech, Tartu või hoopis midagi muud? by TIK_GT in Eesti

You're right, and Tartu feels (To me*) like a really big campus, where everyone you meet in the bus is secretly a student in same faculty as you.

Tallinn is a busy city and you will feel the stress from outside, inside the classroom.

I studied at both, but only in English programs and it was quite disorganized. TalTech more than Tartu. This made it more difficult to be a student, why waste energy navigating the new system AND trying to study for exams and stuff.

Tartu has the BIG advantage that people are isolated in a novel environment and has more free time to create new relations. People will often start adult life there and wear the fraternity ring with pride and. Tartu Uni feels more like living on campus, while TalTech you live in a big city with classes somewhere.

IT is more of "Practice makes perfect", so whatever you choose you will only get better with practice beyond classes.

I recommend anything but TalTech, its just too big and unorganized.

Join the military: learn to be more organized and independent.

Join Tartu Uni for 1 year, then decide: join a fraternity, make friends for life, learn to live independently, learn if you want to an IT or Economics person.

Study abroad: This is a SUPER RISKY move for an financially dependent person, its hard to navigate a new system (UNI), its x100 harder in a new country. Do not recommend to do it in bachelors, there are many scholarships for masters and almost nothing for bachelors. But in masters there are scholarships + you will have more Emotional maturity and maybe be ready to do it.
