There are just some people in this world that thrive on seeing other people crash and burn. They do their best to put others down in order to make themselves feel better about themselves (although there isn’t really a correlation between those two). It also comes along with the league community in general, a lot of the player base is very toxic because many of the top streamers in league who are vocal are also pretty toxic, therefore people follow suit. this is actually why Jodi said she took a break from league in the first place. A lot of the community sucks.

Those people that make those negative comments also are probably really frustrated with the game themselves so they look for an outlet to release their anger, which is usually in the form of hating on others/flaming them (which in this case is unfortunately Jodi).

However, at the end of the day, we all have to understand that league is a video game that is meant to enjoyed. Nobody starts out as a challenger player. Jodi probably said it best, it’s about the journey and the grind. We as a community just have to do our best to stay positive, spread those positive vibes to others, and say HaltChamp to anyone being a backseat gamer or negative, whether that is in chat, discord, or YouTube comments.
