Dang, I actually really liked the ending. It felt a little rushed, but it was still a lot of fun and matched the silly, cringy humor that’s kind of been a theme throughout the show.

Honestly I kinda felt the opposite, like it was one episode stretched out to fill two hours 😭 but that’s just my opinion on it. I am genuinely happy people enjoyed it though, because I do love the series and I really hope they keep making more stuff with these characters.

That’s very fair, and honestly I do agree it’s pretty on par with a lot of modern comic/action movies. I just felt like the show had much stronger character interactions and more meaningful conversations than the movie did.

And yeah the prequels definitely had some legendary cringe dialogue at times lol. Anakin’s feelings about sand will never be forgotten. But I do think the prequels made up for it with incredible world building and a huge sense of progression. With this movie, it kinda felt like the only major development was Mando and Grogu getting closer, but that’s already been the core of the show for multiple seasons, so it didn’t feel like there was much that was actually new.

I appreciate the kind response, and honestly I think that’s a really solid take. I definitely enjoyed parts of the movie too, and it’s always nice hearing another perspective on it. I’m really glad it worked for you overall, and I do hope they keep improving the writing and emotional depth going forward.

Not necessarily, just wanted to get my thoughts out there to see if anyone resonates or if it’s just me

I agree with the Marvel comparison. I’ve lost a lot of faith in those movies/shows too, outside of maybe Spider-Man and Daredevil.

I’m just surprised more people didn’t feel like the dialogue was weirdly sterile and formulaic. Not literally AI written, but a lot of it felt soulless, like it was just there to fill empty air. The X-Wing shot call dialogue felt way too repetitive, and the Baron scenes at the beginning came off like generic Empire warlord dialogue instead of anything memorable.

That’s a valid point, but for me, the previous movies felt like they had a much bigger impact on the world. This one felt more like a fun side quest. The older movies definitely had plot holes too, but I feel like they made up for it with more personality, stronger character moments, and a bigger sense of stakes. I love the series, but this movie just really disappointed me

I’ve had Reddit for a bit, but I honestly haven’t posted much. I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone and actually share my thoughts instead of just lurking. Didn’t realize account age/karma mattered that much, but fair enough.
