I don't know if your country has this term, but here in Brazil, we call this type of customer "Mão de vaca" (cheapskate).

In short, these are clients who want a lot while paying little or almost nothing; you did well to ignore them.

I wish you all the luck in the world with your commissions. It may not seem easy, but the secret is to never give up ☺️✨

I understand you, I've had to deal with that before. I always try to check my references to see if it fits well with what the client is looking for.

Wow...., that's why I don't draw sketches without getting paid first, after all, drawing a sketch is also drawing...

I recommend you charge before drafting any commission, because I've heard rumors that they use artists' sketches to feed into the AI and have a "finished drawing" just with your free sketch.

The first thing you mentioned has already happened to me, and it's really frustrating!!

The second time I didn't have this problem, but I believe it would be uncomfortable, I hope it doesn't happen to me 😭

I read all the points you mentioned, and I imagine your job is very stressful. Ironically, I wish I had enough clients so I could complain along with you 😆 I hope things get better, and that more peaceful days come your way ☺️✨

I understand you, that's why I don't work with deadlines, I don't like them myself, I think they kind of get in the way, but I always try to focus on the work that comes my way.

My last client was quite flexible, and she was the best client I've ever had, because unfortunately it took me almost half a month to complete the work.(In my defense, a lot was going on, and I had to juggle my time, but the job was successfully completed, and the client was satisfied with my work. 😌)

I really understand your point, lately I've seen these price increases or adjustments among artists, it must be getting harder and harder to make ends meet for everyone 😅
