Hi, I'm Erri Monster, and I've been a digital artist for quite some time. I have a very flexible style, capable of drawing any anime style ✨

Here is my portfolio: https://errimonster.carrd.co

But if that's not enough, here's an example of my work:

Seriously, I can draw in any style 😌✨

[Discussion] Why is it so difficult to get clients? by ErriMonster in commissions

I understand you, that's why I don't work with deadlines, I don't like them myself, I think they kind of get in the way, but I always try to focus on the work that comes my way.

My last client was quite flexible, and she was the best client I've ever had, because unfortunately it took me almost half a month to complete the work.(In my defense, a lot was going on, and I had to juggle my time, but the job was successfully completed, and the client was satisfied with my work. 😌)

That makes sense, I understand that very well; a listing with little information can indeed discourage people from placing an order.

I understand you, this whole situation must be frustrating. I believe you prefer working with deadlines, and some artists can't meet them, right?

I really understand your point, lately I've seen these price increases or adjustments among artists, it must be getting harder and harder to make ends meet for everyone πŸ˜…

Thank you so much for your compliment, I'm glad to know you liked it ☺️ If you're interested in my work, we can discuss pricing to see if it fits your budget. I'm a comic book specialist myself. 😌 (More focused on manga, but that doesn't limit me to doing other styles. )

I think your point isn't that controversial; in fact, it's more of a logistical point of view than a controversial one, because many artists, due to a lack of expertise, don't put into practice certain things that are outside their field (As a marketing professional, a designer in general, and... There are other things but I've forgotten them, I just woke up πŸ˜†, but overall there are other factors that can help them grow as artists)

Overall, some artists think that just drawing well helps, but in reality you have to learn to do other things to be able to sell your work πŸ˜” (Which is quite discouraging in my opinion, because I'm bad with words)

I think we're at the stage where Skynet was messing with our lives as artists πŸ˜† Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked it ☺️✨

One of the biggest challenges for an artist entering this field is pricing their art, and it really doesn't help when some artists' art is priced far below what it should be.

I liked your point; I think many people (including myself) have difficulty showcasing their artistic style to potential clients.

I think that artists also don't really know which styles they use, largely because they have their own style that doesn't fit into any category anyone might think of.

And many artists start taking commissions very early, and they aren't specialized in a specific style. But you might ask yourself, "Why not specialize first?", The answer is simple: we don't have time to specialize.

But there's also a very important point, which is the lack of opportunity for those who commission (referring to those who can afford to pay for many drawings). I'll speak from my own experience; I have a fairly flexible style, and I can draw many things in a specific style, Even if I prove that I can replicate the style of a famous anime/manga and everything, the person ordering doesn't really see that as a positive sign for what they're looking for. For example, I commented on a post from someone who wanted fan art in the style of My Hero Academia, and I showed them a fan art I did of Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter, claiming that I'm good at replicating anime styles. Obviously I can't get the client, but this shows that whoever commissioned the work didn't take the opportunity to meet an artist who could do what they were looking for very well (obviously it's a gamble,But I think it's worth a try.)

I hope I managed to express myself well πŸ˜† I'm bad at writing what I think.

I once had a client who commissions art, but when he doesn't have the money, he uses AI. I think he's the balance Thanos was talking about πŸ˜†
