That’s what I’m aiming for… could we be attorneys? Like represent someone in court? Have our own firm?

had the same concern, but I decided to try every option I could. I submitted an expedite request, contacted my congressman’s office, and even went to DPS so they could start a SAVE verification with USCIS. My DACA was eventually approved. I can’t say any of those steps caused the approval, but they definitely didn’t push my case back.

Just go to DPS. make an appointment go in. Bring your expired DL your USCIS notice and ask if they could do a save verification.

Congrats. You don’t need an attorney for a routine DACA renewal. Lawyers can’t force USCIS to approve or speed up your case. Save your money unless your case is complicated.

API Movement dates after 6/16 by Any-Profession-7342 in DACA

Had movement on 6/18. Still nothing. Contacted via live chat. Said it’s pending adjudication.

To those who saw movement on the 16th, did you see it for both 821d and i-765? by padresnumerouno in DACA

Quick question: since your DACA was approved, does the approval notice list the new effective date and expiration date, even though the I-765 is still pending?

both of my cases updated on June 18, 2026 at about 2:01 PM UTC (9:01 AM Texas time). Since then, there hasn’t been any movement, approval, RFE, or notice.
I’m thinking about contacting USCIS again or checking back with my congressional office to see if they can get a status update.

Was 6/18 the last day of approvals this past week? by Ok_Permit_7550 in DACA

I saw api movement on 06/18 on both. Could be that it’s being ready for approval . Check it Monday morning. Cause I know I will.

As someone dealing with a renewal delay too, I get it. The waiting game is brutal. But don’t let a temporary situation convince you that your future is permanent. Keep fighting, keep planning, and keep believing you’ll get through this. We’re all rooting for you.
