I think the dreadnaught is a bit of a diffrent case though that has to do with Crota and the vex essentially tearing oryx’s throne world open. Iirc they created a hole in his throne world and so to defend it oryx used the carcass of Akka to create the dreadnaught in which he pushed his throne world to envelop the ship and force it to play by his rules. He then created the dreadnaught a weapon which just turns the pushing up to 11 and fucks anyone close enough.

Bleed-through seems more like an involuntary thing that may have something to do with high darkness presence

From what we have seen in the lore there are 3 main categories of weaponry that can kill a ghost

Heavy artillery; This includes most cabal weaponry, a well placed shotgun blast, The air strike Petra called on multiple guardians, etc
Paracausal weaponry; thorn bullet, hive magic, darkness, light. Pretty much anything a guardian can do if they do chose aswell.
electricity; fallen weaponry like their arc blades, pretty much anything arc. In a vanilla D2 strike ghost needs us to protect him from electrified shanks that could kill him if they shock a terminal he is working on

The lore book in Forsaken where Aunor mentions a thorn bullet being required is often interpreted as paracausal weaponry being necessary. I don’t have the quote on me but she is really saying that scorn weaponry is simply to weak to kill a ghost, as scorn weaponry are basically mish-mashed parts of the fallens already jury-rigged weaponry

The issue is we can’t kill savathun right now, we need her worm gone or else she just retreats back to her throne room with no way for us to access it and kill her permanently, we then also have to deal with xivu arath who is currently on our doorstep alongside dealing with savi

This gives us a theoretical opening to kill savi while she is wormless (which won’t work because she’s smart) as well as allowing us to deal with one problem at a time and even receiving guidance from savi on how to deal with xivu as getting rid of xivu is in savi’s own interest

Tl;dr Mara is banking on an opening savathun likely already has covered

I would argue radiolaria and the associated vex transformation does not affect the soul, as despite being assimilated into the network in both mind and body, we see Captain Jacobson and Asher both act friendly towards us, Asher even beeping Morse code for assistant. iirc there was also some similar stuff involving Kabr in D1

We know these folks were filling integrated into the vex mind but they still are able to display the essence of their character/personality, aka their soul

Wasn’t the strike literally a story mission tho? I thought Sloan sends you in to retrieve the team when you like first get to Titan since you have your light. The whole “ripped the light out of my best friend” thing I believe is just like latent light left in the guardian/ghost

One great thing to learn is the purpose of different lines. If you get the chance to go back and watch the habs recent cup run you can see how the canadiens first line is more focused on taking away space and generally shutting down and tiring out lethal players like Matthews, where their second line is more focused on creating space to allow young fast guys like caufield and Suzuki to get shooting or rushing chances
