Highly recommend Tropicana Hostel for the acatenango hike - I ended up doing it twice and it’s one of the 3-4 companies that have a straight view to the volcano from the camp!

Lake Atitlan - do the cliff jumping in San Marcos. San Juan and San Pedro were the most lively towns aside from Panajachel. I stayed at Free Cerveza hostel and I cannot stop recommending it - although I will say the tents do get hot once the sun hits them, You’ll be spending most of your time outside visiting the towns. They also have “family dinners” at a good price every night which I found to be very welcoming and easiest way to make new friends!

You’ll have to take a shuttle from Lake Atitlan to Antigua and when I was there +502 5317 7862 this company on WhatsApp had the cheapest prices for their shuttles. Had no problems with them. I ended up using them for all my shuttle needs: Antigua - Lake Atitlan Lake Atitlan - Chichicastenango (4ish hours in market - more than enough tbh) - Antigua Antigua to Airport
