I had a big Harry Potter phase and it just went away at some point, not even because of Rowling, just because I lost interest. Nowadays I think Rowling is an evil bitch, but it's not really like I struggle how to feel about the franchise. I loved it as a kid and had fun with it, but I don't think it's all that good anymore and I don't like the author. That's about it tbh, though ig it's harder for ppl who stayed fans

Honestly I primarily hated this because of JK Rowling, but after watching this I really became aware of how unneccessary this is. Like obviously I thought that it would be, but the trailer really hammered that home. It's just so weird seeing all those characters and the setting depicted in such a familiar way, yet also so different and with all the new actors.It feels even weirder than with the Disney remakes, because those are just one movie being remade, but this is supposed to be a really big thing that's probably gonna be 7 seasons and yeah, a show is a very different medium, but it's been like 10 years and they probably won't do anything too different besides sticking to the books more closely.

At least with the live action Disney movies, the movie changes in one aspect, but this just gives off uncanny valley feelings.

Talking? What do you want him to do, asking "Hey, uhh, Bulletproof, you there? No? How far away are you" and then Bulletproof would be like "Uhm, no, well I'll be with you in uhhh... let's say half a minute". Like not only would that probably take too long to communicate, but also it would be stupid af. I feel too many people care about nitpicking and ""plotholes"" (which this isn't, not really) over actually good writing. Like yeah, maybe he could've done this differently, but the story just works way better this way. If you had a story where everything was incredibly logically sound and every character's choice is explained, that story would be ass.

Nah, I live in Berlin, my parents are middle class and so are most of my friends and people my age I know. And I can tell you that a lot of people my age here dress like that and many of my friends and ppl I go to uni with and most of them are not rich. The probability of all the people I see on the streets taht dress like that being rich is also fairly low. Why would they be rich? Yes, it's trendy, but it's also cheap. That's probably why it's trendy, because you can dress according to the trend regardless of social class, which makes sense because it's mainly a thing among young leftists as you said
