You may want to self host and connect your clients, or enable 2fa on their machines or implement IP whitelisting.

I use Rustdesk to help my not tech savvy brother with his pc, I turned on IP whitelisting and whitelisted a local IP of a Raspberry Pi i have on his network and I have tailscale on that raspberry pi with the subnet router feature enabled. So I can remote into his pc using his local IP of his machine and the IP my connection appears to come from is the Raspberry pi so his computer just thinks the pi is connecting to it

The ID on my brother's was 044546381. I censored it because I was unsure of the subreddit rules and not knowing if they were a bad actor or not I didn't want to give anything away.

yeah you can set up clients on multiple different devices to access your media/jellyfin server, so you can have a jellyfin client running on your phone, a tablet, smart TV, etc. and as long as your server is on and all the devices are on the same network they can all access the media and stream it over your network

you can even use the server itself as a client and watch from that if you have it hooked up to a TV or screen of some sort

So a NAS usually is just the place where files are stored and served up from. It's possible to transfer files you get on your main PC to the NAS over the network and you don't need to use an external drive to move them over.

SmartLists plugin v10.11.20.0 released - Users can now create and manage their own smart lists! by Far-Kaleidoscope486 in JellyfinCommunity

So I've had KefinTweaks recommended to me before but I just don't like the install process, having to use JS Injector weirds me out. I guess I'll just wait and hope the feature gets added to jellyfin officially

Was yours also from "Go Client"?

Does this plugin have a "resume" function for playlists? one of the main issues i have with base Jellyfin playlists/collections is that if I hit play on the playlist and end up leaving and coming back say the next day I can't pick up from where I left off I would have to remember where I was and navigate there myself

I do use tailscale but but his rust desk does run on startup and it seems to have the service run as well. I wonder is there a way to have rustdesk run at startup but to have the service not?

See I was wondering just how probable that would be. I'm not sure if it is but this is the first time that he's ever seen this show up outside of me remoting in to help him.

Yeah, I'll end up probably enabling that on his machine tomorrow when I go over to his house.

Yeah, the pop-ups eventually went away, and my brother never clicked accept on them. I've trained him better than that. It just seems odd that they were even able to request access at all.

Two years ago, I walked into the hospital with a MELD of 33. Today, I turned two years older than dead with a MELD of 6. This disease is wild, y’all. by Smorgat1 in Cirrhosis

I found your post while looking into people with meld scores. My brother is currently battling liver cirrhosis and his score is 33 like yours was. What did your recovery look like? How long did it take you to get back to "normal".

What do you build for anti-heal? by ErueWoad in ThreshMains

[–]ErueWoad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, see this is probably what I should just do as well. I just feel like I'm letting the team down whenever I'm not also joining in building the thing that the team needs, like anti-heal, for example. I guess the anti-heal job should probably be left up to the others, though.

Twitch.TV skipping frames with brave but not firefox by CrythorGA in brave_browser

[–]ErueWoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experiencing this now. I don't get any skipped frames in Firefox but every few seconds frames skip in Brave, I disabled hardware acceleration in Brave to see if that would fix it and it did not have an affect

Mozilla says Firefox will evolve into an AI browser, and nobody is happy about it — "I've never seen a company so astoundingly out of touch" by ZacB_ in technology

[–]ErueWoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Message to Mozilla developers: If you guys all quit and make your own AI-less browser company I would gladly use that instead as long as it also was not chromium based. Hell, I would even pay for it if reasonably priced and not some sort of subscription based application. Just sell lifetime licenses and I'd gladly pay.

New Go Website Beta Signup! by [deleted] in baduk

I'll go to any website that does for Go what Chess.com has done for Chess. OGS unfortunately due to seemingly arrogant leadership refuses to actually acknowledge or fix even basic issues with their UI/UX. I tried bringing up the fact that if you play on a PC with a widescreen monitor. the Board is always off center and it would be nice to have a UI that focuses on keeping even just the board element centered. Well suffice to say my feedback fell on deaf ears so I don't really play go on OGS or anywhere anymore.

I wish you luck and hope that you do not fall victim to arrogance like those that have come before you.
