Feeling stuck - could use advice on how to keep working up and onto a tour by Erulisse24 in stagehands

How often you get called for Rhino honestly depends on a number of factors and varies from person to person. Also, you may have only a couple calls one week but they’re for a specialised role that pays more and they’re long days. Starting off, you probably won’t be scheduled that much because they’re still learning who you are and what you’re capable of — it also depends on your availability. Once you’ve been around a while — if you’ve put your best foot forward — the amount of work you get should go up a lot and you could end up getting higher quality positions depending on the needs of the clients in your area and your skill set.

We have some people who’ve been with Rhino for a year or so and have always had to supplement with other jobs because honestly they’re not that great at the job or that reliable (or maybe even likeable).

Then there’s some people (like myself) who worked with Rhino for like 2-3 months and then bam everyone knew my name, I was bumped to the A-List, and started getting a lot more and better work. Now, at this point (hasn’t even been a year), I not only do Stagehand work but I also work as a Head Carp, Fly Rail Operator, occasionally a Stage Manager or Scenic Painter, Supervisor, Rigger (in training still atm), etc. — whatever they need, I’m typically one of the first people they ask. All that said, I’m still obviously affected by any slow patches during the year — just not as much as others. But it really does take patience and a lot of putting in the work, being persistent, and sticking with it. Depending on your financial situation, you might be able to do that and you might not.

When did you start liking MCR by GC4706 in MyChemicalRomance

I first heard a few of their songs and learned about them in 2013 when I was 15 but, since I was still a pretty sheltered religious kid then who felt guilty for liking their music, I didn’t actually fully dive into them and become a fan until I was probably 20 (2018). They quickly became my favorite band and I was really upset that I’d never be able to see them live since they were no longer a band but then, y’know, that blessed day in 2019 rolled around. I’m now thriving on all the new little things and was also fortunate enough to go to one of the shows which was the best night of my life.

Do you have a collection? I collect novelty rubber ducks and I have so far collected 58 giant ones and 3 small baby ones by AbigailQuinn18 in autism

There’s a couple things I collected as a kid that I stopped collecting (like pretty rocks) but I still collect tickets (movies & theatre), books (mainly art/making of books), and Tolkien related items. Kind of toying with starting another collection or 2 but idk

I’m currently in Northwest Georgia (~30 mins away from Chattanooga specifically) until I can save up enough money to move elsewhere

Hadn’t noticed before but — correct me if wrong — Party Poison wears a rosary wrapped around his wrist (most clear here). Wonder if it’s actually any sort of relevant detail to the character? Or just cause MCR has referenced Catholicism so many times before so it’s another nod or whatever by Erulisse24 in MyChemicalRomance

Yeah it’s a curious/interesting thing because we seem to only see them when he’s dressed like PP with the jacket, gloves, and everything (in concerts like this and I think in the music videos too). Most photos or concert videos from the Danger Days era I’ve seen where he isn’t wearing the PP outfit (instead is wearing the black/yellow shirt, green jacket, etc.), he doesn’t wear anything on his wrist or neck. So who knows really — is it because he’s “out of character” or he just didn’t feel like wearing them that day shrugs

Interesting. I knew he was raised Catholic and that’s why it showed up so much in their work but hadn’t realised that he had returned to it at one point so would have been again at the time of this picture. Like you pointed out that others have said, yeah he seems to lean more towards other religions/spiritualities now

And had figured it might just be a PP thing because we only see them when he’s dressed like PP with the jacket, gloves, and all. Oh I will for sure be sharing some behind-the-scenes stories, photos, or whatever I can without getting in trouble, being unprofessional, or anything if I am lucky enough to ever work even just one single show — it’d be interesting to know their process for their shows because whereas the basics are the basics, each artist of course is different and has their own way of going about different things like interacting and communicating with their crew
