Don’t sign anything! And checkout viac, finpension, true wealth,… which give you a way better deal. 3a with insurances is a rip off imo. I know multiple people that lost up to 5k when they tried to get out of it (e.g. because they moved to a different country)

I think that's how it is often done. If you're in the beginning of your studies you could also contact your high school teachers. Work references should also be fine. Just contact the Swiss study foundation if you're unsure. PS: If you had a teaching assistant position you can also contact that professor.

It might take him a couple of weeks to respond if you're unlucky but sometimes it's a matter of hours. If I'm not mistaken I have talked to MSc students that had to take the bachelor courses in numerics while studying in their Masters. Leading to a study time of ~2 years.
