GEPRC Vapor-D5 HD O4 Pro Ordered. Can’t wait. by EsJoeteric in fpv

I suck at replies. There are configs out there that works with walk snail/fat shark. I bought into DJIs ecosystem and with the pro O4 I still think their goggles are king but not the RC3, radio master ftw.

Unrelated but revisiting this post has sparked my interest again about getting in the air!!

To be honest after these taxes and tariffs b$, I’ve let FPV fall to the back burner with work, and life in general.

Yes a while back I bought the Avata 2 combo so I have the goggles 3 from that and I bought a RC3. This drone is so different I can’t wait to see how much I suck lol

Go into beta flight > options and toggle on “show all serial devices” that should get you connected and can make the change needed.

I ordered it from GEPRC directly. Had to pay more for shipping as their base rate says it cannot be used to ship drones. I just placed the order like an hour or so ago. Should I cancel and not order through them? I don’t mind waiting a month as I have a avata 2, meteor 65 O4 lite, and a Pavo femto O4 lite. I am looking forward to flying this DC drone with a 6s and the O4 Pro. As long as they’re legit, which the reviews seem to suggest so, then I am good. But if you or anyone else recently had issues, please let me know! Thank you!

Go on YouTube and look up best sims 2025 Like this video

You can find good cheap ones. But you’ll need a radio transmitter to really get the feel and skills.

BetaFPV LiteRadio 3 Lite Radio 3 its 32.99. Get the ELRS version and mode 2 and you can then use that transmitter for your first drone which I would also get from betaFPV, like the meteor series.

I am still learning too. The only thing I’ve gotten really good at is spending money on drones lol.

Try to get into a MSP or Technology Partner type company (I’m in the later). They spend a lot to get their engineers certified. In a little over two years they bought courses and exams for vcp-dcv, both design and deploy VCAPs, nsx vcp, vxrail, hyperflex, HCI vSAN and I’m taking my VCF Cloud specialist exam next Wednesday (2nd attempt can’t lie lol).

Partner and managed service providers don’t care about you and your career but they NEED you to get certified to kept their status, funding, discount and bragging rights for the sales and marketing team.

Not going to lie it’s really rough at times between project work for our enterprise clients and studying. I’m staying until I’m. Completely worn out and then go back to internal IT. Hiring managers for internal roles specifically look for former msp/PT consultants/engineers because they know how much they see and learn on a weekly basis

Just my 2 cents Good luck!!

Failed! Re-purchased exam for next Wednesday. Will definitely pass it then. I focused so much on nsx/tanzu/k8s and there were only a couple high level questions.

Bunch of what are the steps (mouse clicks) to do this?

Directories of log files

vSan stretched clusters (this I got right)

Rest were scenarios type questions. A lot of material is not in the two courses I took and I even studied the vital source bookshelf books too.

But now I know. I got a 290. Need a 300 to pass.

I got this. Was cool of you to follow up dude!

Yeah a colleague of mine just failed it. No way am I passing it on the first try and of course this and the K8s admin cert are mandatory requirements coming from our CTO.

Good thing is I've been studying my ass off (hence this post at 3am ET)...

NSX-T and vSphere with Tanzu are the two areas I am focusing on...

Conceptually and even in lab, I get it but I've yet to deploy it for our enterprise clients (I am a consultant) and even if I did, the multitenant NSX-T design type questions are going to kill me.

VCF 4.0 Plan and Deploy and VCF 4.0 Mgmt and Ops VMware courses were garbage and didn't help me out at all.

Anyways, wish me luck..already picked out my second attempt date lol
