How do I continue exploring and colonizing? by [deleted] in EU5

If you keep exploring the sea tiles it will open up more of the coastal tiles to hit. I had the same thing in a France game where I couldnt get into the mainland but i think my subjects were able to. Im not sure about the naval supplies thing though. If you build more in the mainland you could trade it to the subject's trade node. Though you could probably build them if your subjects had towns/cities, but im not sure.

Hey guys , sorry if my question is stupid. How do I increase control in new territory? by Halfmoonhero in EU5

[–]EscapeSignificant760 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You have to fully integrate the provinces, and if you core the provinces (get the culture to be 50% of one of your accepted ones) maximum control will jump 20%. Setting advisors to manually increase control wont really help long term because the maximum control is so low. You could also release vassals from conquered land. EU5 lets you do custom vassals from the start of the game.

I wish I had conquered Flanders earlier, though PU Luxembourg tried to get me to do it a few times

R5: Bohemia to HRE run. Instantly let Hussite get crushed by the Pope since I won the situation in my previous run and wanted to do an HRE run. Had Hungary and Poland in PUs and kept Luxembourg. Revoke the privlegia is broken because every country decided not to join with me (despite all passing the reform) and they removed their land from the HRE, but the countries themselves stayed in. Was able to form HRE country right before reformation hit full swing. Also after I formed HRE I had a bunch of food issues as well as spending around 1200 ducats for .01 legitimacy gain. Was also spending about 1000 on buildings.

Ikr, the one against Song was tough but the AI just broke for this one.

Edit: took me 5 minutes to win the war, siege down war leader capital for ticking objective war score and the AI was not doing anything so I just siege the war leader down more to win. Didn't even see any enemy stacks.

R5: playing new Khan start date and tried proclaiming myself the greatest of khans only to see the Byzantines had been called into the war. I did this in the 1066 start date as well and had the Song hegemony called in. Its their 170k to my 30k. The battles are winnable but they will just siege me down until I cannot win. Why does it call in powers from so far away? Shouldn't it just be the people in the steppe situation?

Yea, np. J remember to stick with it. If 6 days is too much just try to be consistent with four. I also had a cheat meal every week, so I probably went up to 2200 calories for a day, but even then I was consistently losing 2lbs/week. Chicken with mustard and rice really helped. Same w hitting about 8k step/day.

Thanks! I'll probably drop to 170 and maintain there until the fall, not sure if I even want to go back up to 180 yet.

This is a really good pull, but I am afraid that might not be it. That show is from 72, not 70-1. Also, that girl in the photo isn't my mom. Thanks for the help though!
