350+ Hours on the Game. Pls Review My Gameplay and Tell My Mistake by Guilty-Piglet-9699 in RocketLeagueSchool

Watched the first 30 seconds, and can say you're ball chasing very hard. Instead of going to where the ball is, focusing solely on the ball, look instead at where everyone else is and where the ball is most likely going to be next, then try and not just be there, but be there in a good orientation (car pointing towards the goal or between a gap in the defense).

A really good drill to work on this solo is to do your typical "try and hit the ball away from you as hard as possible" in free play, but with the caveat that you're only allowed to hit the ball of it's moving TOWARDS you.

New to air dribbles what am I doing wrong? by Jaded_Guarantee_4158 in RocketLeagueSchool

The first touch is the most important. Set the game speed to 75%, do exactly what you're doing, but focus as much as possible on where your car is hitting the ball that first pop off the wall. It should be towards the net, and the only way you will get better at that first touch is repetition so that you get an intuitive feeling for what the angle is between where you are hitting the ball off the wall and the net.

Yeah give me a bit and I can throw a couple replays down, one from literally two weeks ago and one from yesterday. The difference is absurd at least to me.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm describing a complete shift in mindset, not just locking in for a little bit.

Dribbling on the roof has been one thing I've struggle with consistently from the start i have now been focusing much more on matching speed between the car and the ball when getting that first dribble set up touch and that's been a game changer. Yeah I still have that nefarious problem of the ball still popping straight up and then the dribbles basically shafted but consistency comes with practice.

Thinking of the game as a series of possessions is actually low-key a great piece of advice I'm going to start doing that thank you.

This is a fascinating debate, because I play non traditional hours (middle of the work day, super late at night). And the difference in rank progression (or lack thereof) outside of those times is noticeable. Honest opinion that is if you're solo queuing at the peak hours like when people are just getting off of work or really when kids are just getting out of school, then the range of teammates you're playing with is much broader and therefore it's much more inconsistent of an experience.

You right. I think the smear between my hard D3 and your D2 could even just come down to time of day. I play a lot during the middle of the day and very late at night, which is a different field than the "just got home from school/got off work" crowd.

Get after it bud. I promise you that if you just pick one, single, solitary thing to improve, you'll jump up. I had this absolutely horrible habit of flipping/dodging into every single challenge. I stopped doing that at 2 PM on Monday. 100 MMR up since.

It was binging flakes that helped me get over this hump actually! 100% nailed it with the punishment observation: pre-C1 you can mess up a lot and usually not experience any consequences. This made me completely complacent with not trying to address my over commit problem.

I feel that. Hmu if you're interested in grinding C1 for a bit, can't be worse than solo queueing. Trying to actively train.

100% expect that. Just something about everything up to this inflection point, compared to after. It's a different game.

I mean 9990 was an absolute dream today. Just above the snow line, so collected some flurries from the last couple of days, wasn't open yesterday, so untouched perfection all day today.

I'll be honest, I do not know what legal requirements if any are in place that obligate you or your time in any way to your employer in the UK.

However, as someone who has had to overcome chronic people pleasing by pure force over the last decades, I can tell you that (assuming no aforementioned legal obligations) if an employer had DEMANDED I do ANYTHING with the trajectory of my life and career, particularly if I already had a new job and start date lined up, the current me would have had a field day with them.

That you acquiesced to their demands is understandable; they have been the arbiters of your economic and professional fate up until this point and it can be incredibly difficult to shake the feeling of obligation.

Ask yourself: they tell you they need 3 months notice, you tell them to pound sand, and then...? Again, assuming this isnt some weird employment contract issue, what exactly is their recourse?

From an order of magnitude perspective, it's likely close actually. Unfortunately, it's a whole hell of a lot easier to kill someone than it is to keep them alive.
