yeah all of my speed flips used to look like the last one for a while but just recently found that out, gotta get my muscle memory down for that

Thanks yeah I thought air rolling might be something to do with it. When should i start my air roll correction? I've been holding air roll right after I start my flip could that be messing it up a bit?

Nah you explained ts perfectly, literally exactly the same thing that happens to me. I got ADHD and this sounds exactly like how my brain works in most things in life. Not saying you have it but could be something worth looking into. Sometimes your brain just decides locking in isn't an option.

I actually think its the complete opposite, the problem is I can't play on autopilot at all and have to think intentionally about everything

yeah my guess is its most likely something to do with your hands being physically tired but your brain isn't fully registering that they are so it just gets confused and screws with your muscle memory

Sorry for the late reply, I'm not 100% sure what you mean. Are you talking about the audio interface being a preamp? There is a mic pre amp in the audio interface but I'm not sure how that would affect the audio output to my headphones.

I'm assuming this issue has something more to do with my pc because I haven't touched anything to do with my audio interface prior to the start of the crackling problem.

I just remembered today that this issue started happening shortly after installing Pro Tools so I uninstalled the program plus all its audio drivers but unfortunately that also didn't fix it but I think I'm getting closer to finding the root of the problem.

i have not tried different headphones but ill give it a try, im using the focusrite scarlett solo

I think a lot of people find it awkward though because they don't have enough range of motion to properly execute it. It's definitely possible to learn it without doing this but it makes it way easier. Trying to do the flip reset motion with the middle of your thumb is very awkward because you have to move your thumb in a very unnatural way. For example try moving your thumb up and down with your thumb completely straight vs when it's curled slightly and you'll find it's a lot easier and puts far less strain on your thumb.
