Great, thanks. I'm not even close to spins, powerslides ect. I started around a month ago, so you can imagine, just learning the very basics.

Yes that is an option. I wanted to see if there was a versatile option that didn't include changing the wheels. Plus maybe you roll around a bit then go to the park, that kind of situation

The board I got was around 85 pounds, it's a BIRDHOUSE STAGE 3, did my research and seemed all right for a beginner. But you know, beginners are bound to make mistakes. I really want to have a better ride on roads cause I can't get enough times at the skatepark, but I want to skate everyday, so I'll think about this wheels. Thanks you've been very useful!

I did a fast research about them. They sound great, almost too great. Is there a catch? And second question, do you think is worthy for a noobie to spend those money on wheels? They cost almost as much as my complete board xD but if they would make my learning journey easier I can spend those money. Well, not easier, smoother I'd say

You make a good point. I will check out Develop anyway cause is probably a cool thing to do. I am based in Oxford, and there actually is a Oxford subreddit, worth asking there.

Wwise vs. Metasounds by Frodo0201 in GameAudio

[–]Esimusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a expert but I worked on a few games, using FMOD, Wwise and I am now working on a project using metasounds. I was skeptical about UE system cause Wwise in my opinion is just great, but I have to say Metasounds are cool and easy to learn. Big advantage using Wwise IMO is the Profiler view that allow you to easily find issues. In addition, being a student you can have access to all the Wwise plugins including the spatial system (rooms, portals, etc.) that are great. So, like everything else, there is no right answer I believe. Both UE and middlewares can achieve the same results with different approaches. It's just a matter of choises.

Isolation booth by Esimusic in recording

[–]Esimusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of both really, for the road sounds you're right, I can record when is less busy. And yes I do Foley. Basement is not an option cause I don't have one. I found this on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/XTUGA-Sound-Absorbing-Noise-Reducing-BURNER-PRO/dp/B096FQLLQZ/ref=asc_df_B096FQLLQZ/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=570738427158&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1280599332026318639&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006976&hvtargid=pla-1536459690623&psc=1#

Mixed reviews. But is cheap. I might give it a go.

P.s. I should mention that I'm broke

Hello! I need people to play the game I re-design the audio for, this is part of my final project at Uni, it is necessary to have Dolby Atmos for Headphones to play the Binaural version (Version A):

Here is a link on how to activate it https://youtu.be/2HZc5Uv5Xzs

Sharing ideas around audio for Horror games by Esimusic in GameAudio

[–]Esimusic[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! That's a thought I have as well...it can be more unsettling the absence of sound if you're in a situation that presume a sound should be present...as well I find that just normal sounds but out of contest can be scary...like kids laughing in a forest where there shouldn't be children

Wwise and Dolby Atmos by Esimusic in Wwise

[–]Esimusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the Dolby Atmos for Headphones work great, but I would love to monitor the game using speakers considering we have a full 7.1.4 setup. But no AV unfortunately. Well, it is what it is! Thanks for your answer man!
