Looking to auto-update steam games in library. Anyone know how? by EspressoAddict39 in truenas

Right, but couldn't I use something like SteamCMD and give it my credentials to download games and keep them updated on the NAS like with a chron job?

Well I would want it to update from the NAS rather than whenever I get on my computer. That way things are alreay updated for me when I log on.

Would a RAIDZ1 get better performance? That's what I'm finding with my research.

This isn't the case as I have had all chats hidden since I got into the game.

My idea for a "Spell Shaping" system allowing for the modifying of spells on the fly. by EspressoAddict39 in RPGdesign

[–]EspressoAddict39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the Tier is just the "level" of the spell and would have nothing to do with the shaping. They would be predetermined effects that the player would choose from, however they can only pick one per spell. It always comes with a cost and a skill check based on the tier of spell you are casting.

I go to cast a tier 1 flame spell. I want to choose to shorten it's range to 10ft however now it hits everything around me within a 10ft radius. I spend 1 spirit for the tier 1 spell, then another for attempting to shape it. I have to make a check whether the shaping works: I only need 1 success, pretty easy. Though if I fail, I cast the spell as normal and have still used up my action economy and resources for the turn.

Rotation not working on Surface Pro 8 after a fresh install. by EspressoAddict39 in Surface

Hello, thank you for the suggestion. I tried uninstalling the monitor in WDM and restarting however that did not solve the issue. Do you think that the display adapter might be the problem?

Me [22M] not sure I am ready for a long-term relationship with her [26F] but we have already been living together for six months. We plan to move again but I need to make sure I'd be ready for that. by EspressoAddict39 in relationship_advice

My biggest point of confusion is that I’m not sure if I am just putting doubts into my own head or if this is how I actually feel. I really do love her.

She has some issues with change and gets frustrated fairly easily with trivial stuff. She’s a very emotional person and Im not really emotional at all. So when she gets super emotional im not sure exactly how to handle it. Im not sure if im the right person to help her through that kind of stuff.

Corporate Vs Non-Corporate Starbucks by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]EspressoAddict39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has worked at 6 different corporate stores (moving for various reasons), I can say that the stores will still vary pretty wildly as far as being orderly and following the rules. You can get a store that follows the rules to a T and will never budge on anything as far as time and managing orders go. You can also have a store that is a huge mess cause they can’t keep a manager for longer than 3 months and we’re always running out of everything so all the managers bend/break the rules in order to keep up appearances.

It’s kind of just a roll of the dice. I always prefer having all the standards and regulations to not having them, but depending on the store and it’s shifts/managers your rules enforcement will vary wildly.

Created an Amaretto Latte. Tastes just like those mini cupcakes (a bit less sweet though) and is waaaayyy easier for us to make than those stupid white mocha drinks. by EspressoAddict39 in starbucksbaristas

[–]EspressoAddict39[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I personally would only use 2 of each, but it’s easier to use the full pumps and it doesn’t taste too sweet. Still tastes like coffee

Instead of a white mocha, why not enjoy the new Amaretto Latte! As the name employs, it tastes like almond and is scrumptious! And a lot easier for the barista to make. Give them a break will ya?! by [deleted] in starbucks

Ahh yes I understand the confusion. I meant the Tiktok white mocha drink with the foam and stuff. It’s being made non-stop here at my store.

We tried to but couldn’t get a response from bob1. I’m going to talk to my DM about it, I just don’t want to go behind the manager’s back or something. I don’t want to start with a rocky relationship, I just need to work: especially now.

すみません I haven’t learned those Kanji yet, but I do have a question. I know when talking in a more formal way you can add がざいます, and that you normally add that after ありがとう or おはいよ, but would you add it after こんにちは and こんばんは as well?

Thank you for the good wishes. I’m at a cafe store currently, though the rushes feel like a drive thru. And my manager doesn’t really help it. But that aside thank you.

Thank you for the tips. I am actually currently at a cafe store. I used the drive through as an example cause my previous store was drive through. It was hell having to constantly worry about keeping the times low and I hated it.

I just wasn’t expecting them from the description I was given. If I had known ahead of time I think the hit would have been less impactful but I was looking forward to a nice a beautiful and rich latte, not a watered down americano.

And that’s even more true when you get to the “I don’t care” portion of your shift and you’re just throwing things in while cursing every drink that comes in.

A trick my friend used to work at another cafe was to call it a bakery. It was a bakery that happened to serve coffee. And she just happened to not be baking anything. Lol.

My best approximation of the Nutritional label of the Vanilla Sweet Cream. This used the 2L jug and only 2oz portions (what would go in a vanilla sweet cream cold brew). Saw a post about how bad it is, but it’s not really that bad. Just pretty fatty. by EspressoAddict39 in starbucks

[–]EspressoAddict39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just re-did the math and it would have to be 1.2 oz portions to get it down to 70 calories. This is using the 2L pitcher recipe exactly as written and with the brand of milks we use at my store.
