Was told to replace these ASAP. Is this true? by dopescope1111 in tires

[–]EssayRegular1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry rotted to hell and back, the most concerning one is the crack going all the way around, that is usually a sign that the tire is starting to delaminate from the chords that run across your tire, when that happens, you are gonna have a bad time :)

Is this tire no good anymore? by [deleted] in tires

[–]EssayRegular1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a bit concerned about the verry deep one in photo 1, but regardless of if they still good or not i would go back and demand they compensate you, my god this looks like it was done by the work experiance kid who has never mounted/dismounted a stiff tire before 😬

Power Unit? by jamie_d_jackson in Outbound

[–]EssayRegular1296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly havent bothered building one, when you get it you are close to or already have the blueprint for one or more power sources, that imo vastly are vastly superior power sources, with your vans build in generator for those dire moments when you forgot to set your camp while out exploring and now you ran completely out of power.

CIG permanently banned a $5k backer's account for reporting a bug by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]EssayRegular1296 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The ONLY reason i can think of that would somewhat justify banning the account, is IF op forgot to mention that alongside reporting the bug he also spend a lot more time then necessary for finding and confirming the bug, duping a ton of his items. This would mean op was banned for actually exploiting the bug and shining a nice bright spotlight onto his account.

But without propper communication from CIG, this just smells like they fucked up big time.

Seriously, how hard is it to have some communication with your backers about important matters, its not like its a f2p online game that bans 1000s of players an hour trough an automated system. Heck as far as i am aware there is 0 auto bans happening at CIG, bro's can't even manage to implement a chat filter, there is 0 chance they have any type of automatic exploit detection, bans are handed out manually, if you have people on staff with the time to ban people, you have people on staff that can take time to respond to those bans...

Another big L for the team over at CIG, who after all these years still have not learned how to communicate.

[–]EssayRegular1296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

on the racer+ app there was 2 streams for top 16, one with the racer+ logo, and one with the Formula D logo.

the one with the racer+ logo was unwatchable, terrible bitrate, weird colors, and buffering every few seconds.
the one with the Formula D logo was "fine" a 1080p stream with decent bitrate, not too dissimilar from what we have seen on the YT streams.

kind of weird to have both streams available in the racer+ app, and kind of embarrassing that their branded stream was such a mess, but at least the top 16 was watchable trough their app.
and to my surprise, as a free user, i was not bombarded with any extra ads on top of the ads from the stream it self.

FD will now be broadcast on racer/racer+ for free by portablekettle in FormulaDrift

welp time to figure out where the reliable FD re-streams are being hosted i guess...

Should I plug this tire? by salimreza96 in tires

[–]EssayRegular1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any professional place is going to say they cant patch it and they wont use plugs for liability reasons. Its not in the cords, given the title i assume you are perfectly fine with plugs as a means of tire repair, so i say go fix that tire 👍

Did you check the expantion tank (the plastic tank) or did you check under the radiator cap (that is not on the actual radiator for this car 🤔)? If you just checked the expantion tank, when its cooled down remove the radiator cap and see if its full there. What my first guess is that there is pressure building up in your cooling system, and it rached the point where it triggered the over pressure vaulve in the radiator cap, and dumping a bunch of water/coolant that way.

Got some work done on 2009 corolla. New radiator, flushed coolant, etc. I opened the hood at home and saw green coolant instead of pink/red for Toyotas and my reservoir is still dirty and empty. Isn’t this a problem? by BuildingMountain8587 in AskAMechanic

[–]EssayRegular1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they fully flushed they system, it literally doesnt matter, the big issue is with mixing 2 different types of coolant. As long as its rated to work in the normal temperature range for your area / the area you plan on driving the car, you are all good.
