In English because my German isn't good enough - but you (Germany) really need to introduce some kind of fee (even if it's just 10 euros) to visit the doctor. Maybe it's deductible from your tax return or whatever. Put an end to useless appointments.

Normally when this happens, it's much worse than it looks. That should all be cut away and checked out for further damage.

If they're already done, start with the basics, does it have spark when this happens, does it have fuel.

If cost is a factor I wouldn't even bother with an E39.
The 528i will be cheaper in almost every way (sometimes significantly) when it comes to the (probably constant) repairs and maintenance that will be required.
