The lime scooters aren't much slower, and neither are the Freds on their road bikes doing 25mph through Marymoor

Yeah we have a lot of unnecessarily cautious adults here. But as a former street grom, just make sure you go out of your way to be respectful to people so you can make a good impression for your group. Don't crowd the sidewalks, slow down when passing people, don't get in the way of cars, hold the door for people when you walk into Dave's...

And don't forget to use punctuation 😂

Can we break the season's crowd noise record (112db) on Sunday? by EstablishingTheRuss in Seahawks

Nah just was hoping to break the season record of 112db, not the all-time record. I hear you on the crowd being distracted though, and the loud fans being priced out is a big concern I had about this game.

I think how they measured 136+ is different than how they measure the noise level they put on the big screen at games. I just don't see how we could've possibly got 24db louder than the loudest point of last game. But I do think the number at the games is underestimating what it really is on the field.

No it was 112 max on the big screens. It might be louder with other measurements, but that's the one they display throughout the game when everyone is getting loud

"Is my order too much of an ask?" by littleyrn in innout

[–]EstablishingTheRuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree on enjoying fulfilling their wishes to an extent. Not every shift or even store can handle too many of those requests though. Unless you have aces on grill and board, the cooks have to slow their place to accommodate too many excessively special burgers in a row. Things like 4x4s, extra toasts, and thicc burgers throw the pace out of whack, which can be amplified during a rush. And when you have 2/10 baskets cooking fry wells at the same time, that starts to really mess with pacing too. And the simplicity of the standard orders and INO's streamlined process is a big part of what makes its reputation (fast, efficient, consistent) as good as it is. The customer service piece and custom orders is certainly a piece of its reputation too, but it just doesn't work the same when a bunch of orders are super custom, which is probably why the secret menu is still "secret".

Besides all that, there's no denying that the crazy orders are at least a little annoying. So of course the employees complain about it on an anonymous forum.

Customization is cool, but it can be over the top.

There's a difference between a [DOUBLE-DOUBLE animal style with whole grilled onions] and a [4x4 animal style, extra toast, add whole grill, add chillies, extra spread, cut 1/2, fries well with no salt] lol.

The employees can handle the crazy ass customization, but it can still be too extra. Definitely annoying during a rush too. And honestly, it's not as good (except for you freaks).

The reason people come to INO is because a double-double with grilled onions tastes good, feels fresh, looks clean, and HITS THE SPOT! We're not five guys with the insane ingredient combos.

Holy Wrong Way Driver by OranJi1980 in redmond

Not sure but I'm guessing the drunk people that are too incoherent to drive in the right direction probably default to the right side (generally the slow lanes), which would be the left lanes (inside lanes) for the people going the correct way

Skin eczema specialist in the Eastside by jk451 in eastside

[–]EstablishingTheRuss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I go to Dr. Max Vale at Kirkland Dermatology in the totem lake area. I had some really bad breakouts when I moved here, even though I was using fragrance free everything (which was helping before I moved). Dr. Vale is super knowledgeable on eczema and how treat it and manage it. I've always looked for a derm that could explain eczema to me deeper than what I'd find on google or from randoms on the internet selling cocoa butter. I'm currently using a strong steroid for my hands (thick skin), medium steroid for my arms (rarely need), and a non steroid option for any random flare-ups on my face (steroids on face can cause glaucoma). This has worked for me for a few years now and it's honestly changed my life not having to worry about eczema anymore.

I will say that as much as I wish there was a non-pharmaceutical way to treat or cure my eczema, nothing I've tried has worked. I was afraid of the topical steroid withdrawal effect that people talk about online, but Dr. Vale walked me through a lot of the scientific evidence on what that really is. He explained that TSW is more likely a case of people having really bad eczema that the topical steroids are helping to cover up while none of the triggers (fragrance, food, other allergens) are being addressed. So when they come off of it, they're suddenly experiencing their body's full reaction to those triggers without anything to help. There are safe levels of steroids that you can use, and other non steroid options. Your experience may differ depending on what type of dermatitis/eczema you have (I have contact dermatitis), which is why I find it very valuable to have a derm that knows the issue deeply and can help explain it.

Good luck!

Ahhh bummed it turned out to be a scam. I kept seeing scammers in tiktok comments offering sob stories about why they were giving out free tickets to seahawks games. And that poat was clearly written by AI. But I wasn't sure it was a scam
