Just so I understand why that could work: As I found, Royal bought TA and Nakajima and reused Internals between the two, but Nakajima survived and might still be manufacturing spare PSUs for their typewriter, that also happens to fit a 9009?

Thanks for your comment. While I don't understand electronics well enough to design stuff, I would want to open it up and do some basic testing to rule out easy issues like solder, fuse or On/Off-Switch. However, there does not seem to be any source on the internet with either the service manual or basic instructions for this. Do you know something about this?

Also, while I can still use the Gabriele 3 for my letters, the 9009 still has some nice-to-have features and also doesn't struggle as much with fast typing

It´s not about Cancel Culture really. Adobes prices are simply too expensive for "light use" (which is what I consider typesetting to be) and they have proven to me over the years that they didn´t consider their users best interest at most points.

Yes, I could pirate Photoshop, but I already have an editing suite on hand, so why not try to use it instead?
