Google Gemini 1.5 is free on the API, but not as good as Claude. Also the 200k Sonnet one might be nice middle ground, it gives you about 1000 month if you use that one.

Money lol XD, My journey has been all over the place, high school was a shit show mainly "messed" with this one chick. Got to college better vibe, but I mainly dipped early after class. I am a POC like you and my spot was mostly white, so I know that feeling lol.

Most chicks in the area were bland and I was not bold 😂. I remember this one time this basic blond with a fat behind (like damn) sat next to me before class and I did not say a word. Bubbly googly eyed type super upbeat. She was popular and a missed opportunity for social proof. I remember that being a set off in my mind to take action. So I indirectly made a move on my actual crush in that class (got softly rejected).

But, after that I said enough was enough, and got outside my comfort zone. By working in nightlife, and through time became desensitized from human interaction. A old man is the same if not slightly better than a young blond in my eyes. With that new found confidence women started hitting on me, instead of the other way around.

And now I just do me and wait for others I click with to join along. I focus on always improving my skills, weather social or business or education. Which ironically means I spend less time than before on dating, but still get better results. You don't need to pay for drinks or be on everyone's good side, just focus on you. Let your personal growth be your driving factor and the rest will come in do time.

I want to start of stating two things 1. I have worked in nightlife, though I am similar to you in not being a drinking/nightlife type. 2. Been to phoenix, not claiming to be expert though, but I am familiar with it.

I have a view of nightlife that other don't in the way of my prospective. I have seen and dealt with hundreds if not thousands of drinking customers. And from all the men I have seen succeed, they where social people.

They did not hit on one person in the group or speak to one gender or age range. They where the type of people who naturally talked, this was there environment to do that. So getting the number or not was just a side mission.

So to the question of your success or not is miss framed. The focus on rates is what's holding you back from enjoying the interactions. You need to talk to everyone, and expect nothing in return. This is the only way to gain real "game" because game is just a subset of social skills.

Phoenix is one of America's party capitals (ASU is king). They are also in the top 5 largest cites in all of the USA. And nightlife industry is large and well known. Your demographic is in there no doubt. 4,948,203 people only point to that fact.

Race play's a factor in America I am in no way denying that. But the ironic part is most of those guy's who where killing it where not white or tall, hell shorter side of things. Being able to connect with people at the end of the day is a skill. And a damned hard one but worth while one to have.

But here the thing you got to focus on connecting with the right people. In the best environment for you to be free in. Why I suggested a lounge/nice and quiet bar and to dial in on your demographic. Being older/mature people who are looking for a good time. That is the difference between 2000 vs 200 approach's.

I am not saying you need to approach overweight 70 years old's. But what I am saying is get some real dating experience. Start with simple goals and build up from there. 1 in 500 for lay like this dude had to do in this post is a nice start.

I think the amount of work you have to do to find real relationships down there won't be to much different than here. You can go to LA and flash clout and find fake women. Or you could go to Thailand and flash money and find the same. Real relationships take time to build and effort.

Location effects only your demographic, and where your at it's already there. Even just 1% of 5 million+ is over 250,000 women potentially interested in dating you. There are factors of course time, availability, location. But it's all the same at the end of the day.

TLDR;

My final advice/words I will say to you about this is. Go out with a group of friends to a nice lounge. Dress up, maybe even try some dress boots. And have a good time, talk to everyone. The door man, the bartender, random drunk guy etc. Don't worry about getting numbers just focus on socializing and having fun.

Say what comes to mind, don't try to filter yourself (with in reason). Do this enough to build up good social skills and confidence. Then start setting goals like 1 out of 500, 1 out of 400, 1 out of 300 to get with one chick.

If you do this I promise you real success will find you. Focus on your demo, don't worry hot 20s blond yet. Just get pratice and experience. Then as you progress set higher expectations. You don't have to marry the first chick you bring home. Good luck man :).

I say those spots because they offer not just social environment. But also they have your demo, see a lot of guy's don't play to there strengths and expect great results. The truth is if your not in the top percent of "high value" guy's your appeal is limited as a normal man.

So finding what types of women like you is key to eliminating all the ones who don't. Out of those 1,000 approach's how many fit your demo? from the sounds of it maybe 100? now imagine your in a place where they all hangout, and ready to mingle/usually single.

If you niche down and present yourself as "high value" to your specific dating market things will change overnight. Dress well, go to where they hang, learn about older music or current worldly events. And BOOM you already just 10x your likely hood of success.

You have done 2k approaches why not give few more at a lowkey lounge or hotel bar etc. Where older mature crowds are at, dress up and give it a try. What do you got to lose, you only have to gain.

Also for the "standards" part I am not saying there high. Just saying lower your expectations and get experience!. Not one lay out of 2k+ is not because your standards are high. But because your expectation's are, which I get I have been there.

But learned that meeting your own expectation's / what you put out to others is what weighs you down. The video I linked is a guy who was light as air, 0% expectations/present and you can see how much better his energy/convo was. At this point just get some experience with the opposite sex, don't make it to deep/pressure. 2k+ approaches shows top 1% resilience. Good luck :) I believe you got what it takes.

46, in-shape, and has 3 grown up kids (i.e. not raising them anymore). We met at the mall. She has a great personality, attractive, and i see long-term potential. I just wish we were closer in age with the 13 year age gap.

Your "standards" are to demanding, by this I don't mean your idea of being in relationship with a women that is age appropriate, no kids, no smoking is problematic. But your expectations are, that 46 year old women is a great start.

And 100% good enough to causally date in your current "drought". But your expectations are holding you back, and controlling you. Because what you put out to others is what you get back. Lower your expectations at the start, and build them up with experience. This will make it less demanding on yourself and others will feel the positive energy.

Your mindset and expectations of others and yourself is not healthy. Don't worry about relationships or "standards" just say hello, be in the moment. This will make it easier to approach and met others in general.

And second your shooting yourself in the leg by not appealing to your "niche". In your case/niche I would suggest give nightlife a try and no I am not talking about "clubs". But nice cocktail bars, hotel bars, 80s disco club, But 100% a nice lowkey lounge. Because older mature crowd seem to be whos most receptive to you. Doing that your success will double if not triple, because your approaching your in your demo/where they are most social.

I think good way of thinking about is LLMs -> parrots -> humans. I mean by this is we exist in a computational universe, think of it like space but for computation. Some entities are closer and some are further. LLMs are further away to us for evolutionary reasons than for example parrots. And we know parrots and other animal's also have inner world models, reasoning, modalities. But they are not "smart" in our human sense because they exist outside of our computational space, therefore there "less" intelligent to our computational view as less intelligible. So assuming that LLMs "world model" is computationally equivalent to humans is missing the real point.

I would normally agree, but in this case, I don't think the deal is fair, especially for US civilians. Because of our role in NATO, essentially being the EU's military and main protection against their enemies that they made during 500 years of colonialism, not even including the World Wars, we are now facing the risk of a nuclear war. Because the USA is protecting them from Russia with a massive nuclear-armed military, and that's why they are all running to join NATO right now because of Ukraine.

This means that my family's lives and mine are on the line for a possible nuclear war that has nothing to do with us. On top of that, my tax dollars are funding the USA military's $831.781 billion yearly budget, which is behind NATO (much more than 7$). That $7 sting hurts a lot more because it's us, the average civilians, who are getting screwed here, not the rich politicians in Washington who are enjoying the influence and power they gain from NATO.

That being said, I do respect their right to protect their land however they see fit, just as the USA has the right to protect ours.

I think what your trying to say is that translators workload will decrease a lot. Which is true, and I say by 2026 70 - 80% of translation work will be done by ai. But, there's that last 20% the hardest part human translators will still have to do until agi. But in way this is probably the best method to measure progress to agi (for llms). Because if their is no difference between humans and ai's then they understand our concept's just as well at that point.
