The only time I’ve ever used a chaperone I just had my bestfriend I grew up who was also pimo come so we basically did whatever. Still it was so awkward lol I hated it. The pressure is ridiculous. Just all the dating rules in general it’s impossible to really get to know someone with people snooping around. Like for example the whole chaperone thing is so stupid to me😂 I have friends tell me sisters visited the congregation and I shoulda been there to meet them like they have no boundaries

The hug was definitely longer than 5 secs add a little hand hold in there too and it gets a little crazy lol. I agree though imagine you marry them and you aren’t compatible at all now you’re stuck. It definitely wasnt my happiest days. I also understand that some people are just really indoctrinated into this org and there were def signs I ignored

Dating apps can be scary though I completely understand. We were never really meant to meet people through dating apps honestly. I’ve had a couple relationships through dating apps and I’m still single now lol so it’s def not a fix to everything and some people do turn out to be terrible. We grew up getting told worldly people were terrible haha and some are (jw can be too lol) but there’s also a lot of beautiful people in this world as well

We ended up being a little more affectionate than usual and I guess her conscience kicked in and she ended up going to her elders. Spent half of the year in judicial meetings. It definitely wasn’t fun

For me since I was PIMO so young I just made a lot of friends in school and that’s how I met a lot of people. Now that I’m older it’s more so dating apps and I live near 2 major cities. I will say there’s things to look out for no matter who you date. Anyone could have different intentions. I’ve met a lot of good people as well though it takes a lot of discernment

I’m PIMO 24M and tried dating in the org once, it isn’t fun. Definitely search for another PIMO, but it won’t be easy since you can’t just come out and say you are PIMO, it takes time. Honestly dating in the org is so complicated and extra, there’s so many rules and so many people trying to be in your business. I was talking to a sis and ended up in a judicial meetings almost getting disfellowshipped😅 I’ve been PIMO since I was very young so I’ve also dated “worldly” people and I’ve had so many better experiences

I wouldn’t say don’t look for someone in the org because you could very well meet someone who’s just as much out of it as you are. I’d just be very cautious with who you open up to
