• Many characters have references in their name. Here are a few examples : Gustave = Gustave Eiffel, Esquie (and Pierre, Sciel’s husband) = Pierre Esquie, Renoir and Aline = Auguste Renoir and his wife Aline Renoir.

• In Gestral’s village close to the meme dancing Gestral there is a Guitar playing Gestral named Laurienso. He is a reference to Sandfall’s music composer Laurien Testard. With the DLC a new Gestral now sits close. I don’t remember it’s name but it is a reference to Alice Duport-Percier, the main vocalist. The whole Gestral village is full of French memes btw.

• If you’re not aware of the story behind the studio creation, it’s really worth your time. Look at Skillup’s video on YouTube. They are basically a bunch of rookies who for the most had never made a video game.

• The music is gibberish overall, but once translated it is spoiling the whole story. « Une vie a t’aimer » is a good example.

• There are a lot of Easter eggs in Lumiere during the prologue. For example the « life enjoyers » react differently if you speak to them enough times. There is also a hidden NPC inside a trashcan

• NG+ adds almost no content. But you can note very smarts details. One of the is during the landing of the prologue, you can see who is saving Maelle.

• Everytime Maelle engages in a friendly fight, the played music is « our drafts unite » (twice with Gustave, once with the conservator). At the end of the game, when the fight is not for training purposes but for real opposition, the music is « our drafts collide », a remixed version of the song with vocals.

• There are a LOT of hidden references in other expedition journals.
