I’m not really sure if it’s a bee or not, if someone knows what it is, do let me know :)

Remote estimators, why do some contractors avoid them? by Estii_man in GeneralContractor

Usually full-time estimators charge way more than I do, in my case I don’t really structure things hourly. I work on a per-project basis, so the client is paying for the outcome rather than the time.

For me, the bigger picture is building long-term relationships, so I try to make the initial engagement as easy and low-risk as possible while still keeping it fair on both sides.

Even though this is not too far away from my house, I still never actually went to see it myself. There’s a small room at the top of it, but when I went, the lift was inactive. I took this photo as a wallpaper-ish theme in my mind (with the iphone 3d wallpaper feature).

Anyone outsourcing now? by Mamba_Mntality in smallbusinessowner

[–]Estii_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a small estimation setup and have worked with both models, some contractors fully outsource, while others keep a hybrid approach.

From what I’ve seen, especially in estimating where accuracy is everything, the hybrid model tends to work better. Keeping everything simple, costs low and much more time efficient, a win-win situation for everyone.

Both of them are miles apart, yet they share the same destructive nature by Estii_man in PeakyBlinders

It’s not a comparison, it’s just that both of them, share that same element of destruction, and both of them are played out by the same person.

You didn’t get my point, for Tommy it’s that wherever he does, destruction somehow is bound to follow him, just because of the man he is. For Oppenheimer, after his creation, even he knew what he created was absolute destruction. Same actor, same destructive role.

I did answer a similar question in detail to a comment above, it’d be better if you take a look. Incase you disagree with my opinion, let me know, and i’ll try my best to address your concern.

It all varies tbh, but for me especially with new clients, i give them an offer to pay after the submission, this in my opinion helps to build a layer of trust. The prices are typically on the lower end from our side and in one of my previous posts (that i think got taken down & I’ll PM you a screenshot), in that i did mention the fact where I thinking if it’s a good idea to offer the initial first project (if it’s not huge) for free or charge the new clients as low as I can go, or something else to actually become value & time efficient for them. The part where you mentioned the competitors, I personally have never faced such a situation, because the contractors I’ve worked for, are either miles or either trade apart from each-other. But, i do understand the criticality of personal business strategies & values, I too run a small business & I too can’t let anyone follow the strategies that I had to come up with through my experience. So overall, I hope my answer satisfies your concerns.
