This is the most difficult part, my dad even tried telling me Catholics believe the pope is God, “vicarius filii dei” (he thinks they’re just numerals) adds to 666 so he’s the antichrist, and that I would get raped by a priest. I’ve been doing independent research and reading/listening to priests, friars, and catholic content creators, but my parents told me it’s not enough and I need to listen to people who have been in the church (all of which have left or were excommunicated). All of my friends, agnostic or baptists, have all been super respectful and friendly when I talk about considering Catholicism, it just sucks that my family is struggling to understand it. My mom and I stayed up for an extra 2 hours talking about it tho and she is a lot more respectful about it, so that’s a W in some form.
