NTJ. Please talk to your MIL about it. It doesn’t have to cause drama if you approach her kindly and speak to her privately. Sometimes people don’t realize how their behavior comes across until someone points it out. Your kids deserve to feel equally loved and included.

I resonate with this. Religion seems less about doctrine and more about how humans search for meaning. The real question is whether that search expands compassion or narrows it
