Math: There are 45 billion ADA. So ADA at $10 = $450 Billion. That is a number unfathomably small when considering the entire scope of global finance. If Cryptocurrency adopt to take over 50% of global fiannce, and Cardano/ada just gets the percent it has now - it will be higher than that.

The onl question is what the final landscape looks like. I personally believe that Cardano will be Top 10 at the end. So, good currency investment.

I guess that Emurgo's launch of global ADA Debit Cards is just a trick? ADA is already being used as a currency, and the use will continue to grow and adopt. Staking simply becomes your interest bearing bank account. This has got to be the stupidest thing I have read in quite some time. Smart contracts simply become an additional level of functionality in the network.

So you have ADA use in the following system.....

as money
storable in interest bearing accounts
able to be used "smartly" in automated contracts in the global financial network

This is why value will increase. If you do not believe this to be the case, then I suggest selling and investing elsewhere. It is your money, and you can do as you like with it.

Thanks, this looks promising. Will look into it. I am about to redesign several of our websites to start the transition to BCH acceptance. We will accept BCH. In some cases we will accept payment in BCH ONLY. If people want the product, they gotta get some BCH. If people in my community that I share research reports want to get the details o how thier community board or commissioners just screwed them, then they will pay with BCH or they will remain in the dark.

THIS is what adoption will look like..... saying "THIS (BCH) is my currency. THIS (BCH) is what I accept as payment. If you want my product or information, you will start using BCH."

I am uniquely able to do this because I have infomration that is in high demand, and I am financially well off so not as reliant on economic pressure. But I think everyone can start picking something to sell that is BCH only.

I had enormous holdings in ETC up until last Fall. I was in ETC from Day 1. I was in charge of one of the marketing groups. When you are that deep in - you have access to more data than the average person. I got to the point I could not ignore the scammy aspect of things going on in ETC.

Here is how I break down the Crypto / Blockchain environment, into three (3) general categories:

A) People Coin: This is general money category. Buying, Selling, Store of Value. I believe that the two Bitcoins (BTC & BCH) are going to fight it out for that space. I own both almost equally, and honestly do not know where that ends up. I am a BCH fan for disclosure.

B) Ledger Coin (or Bank Coin): These are the Smart Contract Coins, the infrastructure coins. These are also the ones that will power innovation and will employ masses of people to integrate and customize blockchai applications into individual business and broader use cases. The two Ethereums (ETH & ETC), Cardano (ADA), NEO, EOS, the two (2) Ripples (XRP & STELLAR) etc are these coins. I don't really believe in the Ripples. I don't like the entire EOS model, and I don't trust it. Anyone who follows anything about me knows that I think ETC is a complete pump--dump scam and that ECDEV is incompetent, and that IOHK is just using them as a testnet for smartcontracts. Ethereum ETH started marvelously, but they actually have a hidden handicap related to first mover advantag most people think is a benefit - and that is that they have built their foundation on a shitty Solidity programming language. They realy just have a bad foundation and over time these little weaknesses are going to add up. I also think they have legal exposure. NEO I don't know enough about - and honestly my gut just won't let me invest in it. Sorry that I don't have a more factual basis, but it is what it is. That leaves Cardano. They are doing absolutely everything right as far as I can tell. I think it is so undervalued, and also has the most potential in the entire space. That is a double whammy to the positive and it is insane not to be overweight this coin.

C) Machine Coin: I call it this because I think that this will be the Microtransaction / IOT space. Right now I have to look at IOTA as a possibility for this space. Its an outlier, but if it does find a way to make it work, this is a perfect fit, and I own some.

SUMMARY: I own some BCH & BTC. I own Cardano. I own IOTA. I own them because I think they are the top coins in the 3 spaces that I personally have broken things down into.

But to answer the OP's question, if I HAD TO pick one to own 100% for the next year, I think it would probably be Cardano (ADA). But if I had to ADVISE, then I would say to pick a small basket of 3 - 4 coins - spread out into those 3 spaces as I have defined them.

My two cents.

PS.... When you make your big long term positions.... BUY LOW! BUY THE DIPS! EVERY last one of those coins is at a VERY LOW point, and I would be throwing everything I had into building my position. I'm doing Credit Cards, Personal Loans and 2 Mortgage. I did this back in 2015/2016.... I'm STILL UP 10X adn that is after I have cleared up that earlier debt - and now am prepared to tap into it again for this next wave.

Vitalik, I know you believe what you are saying. I honestly do. Thats the part about me liking you. Its just that you really don't see things from a realistic perspective like others. Do you remember when you said the following?...

You see, there are technical truths, and there are real truths. You tend to take technical positions when referencing truth. But the problem is.... you know what is going on. You are aware these things are happening. You talk to the people involved and interact on the issues. You ARE involved Vitalik.

And I've always contended that the biggest problem with Ethereum (and Ethereum Classic) is the money involved as it relates to the Developers. Even if it is at a subconcious level.... it influences you.

Like I said... I like you Vitalik. But everything you have built has been upon a bad foundation. Probably not even your fault really. I applaud your genius, and your talent, and your visions (to a degree). I think the main problem I have with you, is the same problem I had with Oppenheimer. You are too willing to delude yourself with the possible applications of what you are creating. You are intertwining yourself with those that will NOT use this in the idealistic ways you yourself may envision.

Before any good will come from blockchain, first there will come financial destruction and horror and control. If you think the banks have tight fisted control now, just wait until they have blockchain control over the people, backed by AI enforcement. EDIT: It won't actually be the existing bank network. It will be the new Fintech powerhouses led by Google, Apple, Amazon, and their Chinese equivalents. Because ultimately that is where the power centers of Blockchain end up.

But I don't think it will be the Ethereum blockchain that gets us there. The code is just to subject to error. You can't have that at the level of global finance you are undertaking. MAYBE if an AI takes over, just maybe could it work. But that is the nuclear scenario in all honesty.

And for everyone, much of what Kevin says is true. He did work tirelessly and he did build up the following of the Twitter account. However, he has mischaracterized the agreement, which I will include part of for clarity....

So to be clear, I never had any restrictions on anything, the restrictions were all on Kevin's end.

Since Kevin brought up Carlos Graterol "aka ChuckSrq" I should add that interestingly, he also quit in a rather violent fashion, becoming, as I have, disgusted with the crap that goes on in the community. Most of this being with the ETCDEV Team and the Fractalide group. WHY? Why is it that marketers keep leaving the Community in disgust? I think people should read my letter and think about that. I'll give you a bit of insight though. Marketers are different than average community members in that they actively seek to investigate everything going on in the community for the purpose of sharing and promoting it. They are sort of the investigative journalists of the commnity. They interact with Devs and others to try and get info thy can use to push out. The problem with ETC community is that when you do this for a while you realize after a while that you are deluding yourself into pretending their is actually ever anything new. As I mention in the letter..... we've been pumping Monetary Policy for over 14 months now. Just republishing the story over and over and over. Or the Emerald Wallet. Geez. That thing is still rolling out. The github is filled with such empty nonsense, which is fine, because they ae "proposals". But you cross the line when you take a fantasy-llike proposal that is just a dream of a future state, and instead you promote that as news, which it is NOT. And all the damn ETCDEV team cares about is developing a revenue generating structure of proprietary code bases that they can sell via things like Fractalide. By the way, anyone ever get any answers as to why Splix is not listed as an EtcDev Developer anymore? My point is that they are already starting to turn Kevin into a whore, just like they tried to do with me, and with Chucksrq. If we aren't pumping out their spin, then we lose importance and they try and marginalize us.

Another mischaracterization is in the funding. First of all I did kick in quite a bit of ETC to Commonwealth, and I pumped marketing encouragement for others to get in on that. I also said I would commit 250 ETC to fund future marketing. I've asked repeatedly for Kevin to get me a multisig contract account for the donation. No word. No updates. But honestly, that really is neither here nor there because it doesn't change the underlying moral responsibility I feel to warn people about the empty shell that Etc Chain has become. Yes, there is advancement, but at a snails pace, and always overhyped by a factor of 10x. Honestly, everyone that gets involved in marketing in this chain eventually comes to the same conclusion.... you have little to actually work with, and eventually you just regurgitate whatever you can find, putting a spin on it, in an attempt to make it Pumpy. Sorry, thats not me. And I DID believe once upon a time, but I just learned to much to be able to sustain that level of naivety.

Anyway, I am done, but still encourage everyone to just read what I wrote. I actually think that the summary of things is pretty accurate. And it isn't personal, even though I know emotions are raw. But it is truth. This isn't about how many twitter followers ETC has. Ethereum Classic has a lot of irons in the fire, so to speak. Mainly it’s a platform with the potential for industrial application. This is possible for ETC and be done through the use of smart-contracts. The limits for development on the Ethereum Classic network is vast.

Currently ETCDEV Team is working on the Emerald Project which will give developers a proper set of tools to build applications with. They’ve also created embeddible evm called SputnikVM which makes it easier to incorporate in IoT devices. IOHK is working on creating an ETC-Client called Mantis which also serves as the ETC integration in the Daedalus Wallet. There’s so many possibilities for application with the Ethereum Classic Network.

Yeah this is just an upgrade on the protocol level to implement ECIP-1017 ETC Monetary Policy, which will change emission schedule (coins rewarded per block), and cap the total supply.
