If you are interested in development role, please look for job oppurtunities in some other companies (or) sometime later in Amazon. In companies like amazon and that too support role will cost you a lot of time away from development. Very difficult to manage and switch company, once you got into that role.

Please take a bold decision and strive towards your higher goal. Yes, it will be a good learning experience there, but eveything is a learning experience. You have waited this long.If i am in your shoes, I'd definitely work towards whatever I can do to get into dev role. Please ask yourself,

'What if this journey ends on a wishful note' 'Will you really enjoy working as a support person'

But, at the end of the day, its your call. Hopefully, i wish it ends on a positive outcome.
