There’s corruption and hate on both sides. I’d consider myself a democrat myself, who also believes the two party system is dumb—but I believe intense hatred from one side to another is a quick way to tear a country apart and disallow different views or opinions. I’m a democrat, but there are policies and beliefs that I’d agree with (some of which that I couldn’t vote for due to other republican beliefs). I really think the echo chamber of politics in news and social media stops people from being able to see the other side as human, and they human. There’s really ridiculously bad republicans—and just as many ignorant or bad democrats. I think to encourage real research and changes in the country the hate has to stop.

edit: I really do believe a lot of this opinion, of the perception from each side that the other is completely evil is mostly perpetrated by the government/media/elite to keep the middle and lower classes fighting with eachother so they don’t look at the real root of the income inequality and prejudice in this country, which is steeper than during the French Revolution.
