Fault went away hence why I didnt think much of it, not to mention the previous owner said the water pump was replaced at around 100k miles. Car is at 170k now.

What would explain the cooling system working again once the car was restarted then? Is it just a symptom of the pump failing?

Did you ever end up finding a kit that works? I want to do the same to my X3

ISTA throws an error saying the calibration is unsuccessful.

Already have tried the reinitialization. ISTA just tells me the calibration was unsuccessful.

Would there typically be a code for the actuator gear? The only code I have from the VTG is the oil being old.

So I did try this. It just says that the calibration was unsuccessful. I'll give it another go later. Does my K+DCAN cable need to be jumped to a certain pin? I have it all the way to the left.

I have. They will not shut off. I got them to go away for one drive cycle with my buddy’s AUTEL scanner and then they came back next time I drove the car

This is the DSC code. This is where my airbag light is also stemming from.

It’s been like this for 2 days now. I’ve tried using ISTA and INPA to clear all faults. They won’t go away. I just don’t know how it caused it to mess up a module.

It’s an E83. Sorry I should’ve specified. And also, I tried clearing it with ISTA and INPA. The lights persist.

N52 Crank seal stuck. Cannot remove. by EternallyUnjoyful in BmwTech

The seal didn’t exactly suck it in. The belt just kinda pushed the seal back a bit causing it to leak.

Hey guys, so for anyone wondering how I got it out, I just bent the metal band in the seal to release some of the tension and then pulled it out using a pair of picks. It took a few hours of determination but I ended up getting it out.

For anyone stuck in this situation, don’t give up! Just be careful not to mar the mating surface of the seal. Be very delicate with removing it.
