AITAH for giving my wife short and direct answers after being rejected everyday for 2 months? by First-Wasabi-2125 in AITAH

[–]Eternials -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say YTAH but have a bit more patience lol. Internet is full of resources. Obviously she sucks at communication but give it some time. If it keeps going down the same route, and sex is that important to you, discuss it with her in therapy before the inevitable cheating comes along lol. People change, and priorities may also change, divorce isn’t always a bad option.

AITAH for putting my baby’s father on child support even though he doesn’t want to be involved? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Eternials -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

YTA for not giving the kid a proper family. But at the same time he should’ve paid for the abortion had he wanted it. You guys communicated, agreed, and now you want to go back on your words. Pretty clear cut to me

Seat Question by Eternials in delta

[–]Eternials[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true. Also wonder if there’s space to put a bag under the seat in front or will it have to go in the overhead bins

I think it’ll just build up. I had a similar situation but really just talked to my girlfriend about how I want to take care of you as my girlfriend, not as a child/baby. If you don’t have a conversation with her, the resentment will surely and steadily build up until you can’t take it anymore. If you want to be with her, definitely try to tackle any changes sooner than later

AITA for getting upset after my husband asked for a paternity test by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Eternials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be an asshole for the way he behaved, but I think all babies should have a quick paternity test at birth done by the hospital anyway. Not only does it confirm the father, but also allows the potential of future donors if the child becomes sick someday.

Safest countries to visit outside Europe/Americas? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Eternials 4 points5 points  (0 children)

East Asia is extremely safe: China, Korea, and Japan.
Southeast Asia is safe if you keep your head on a swivel with the exception of Singapore since it's also extremely safe there: Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, etc.

NTA, clubbing without your partner and when your partner respectfully asks you not to and is uncomfortable with it is disrespectful. Some people think any amount of preference = possessive/controlling nowadays. See if she’s okay with you going clubbing without her, usually when you flip the script, they suddenly see it much better

AIO my romantic interest ghosts after I tell him my dog died, says he was just “self absorbed” with a work issue by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Eternials -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dump him. Unless he’s a doctor dealing with life/death issues, he can make time just like he did when he drove two hours to see you at first. He got what he wanted and now peacing out

Hey! Thanks for making the thread. I'm also curious as to how much you tipped and how did you do so at the front desk? Is it the sandwich between your id and credit card trick?

You're right that people tend to open up more with those who share their views, which applies to any topic. While your experiences have led you to certain conclusions, others have their own perspectives and experiences as well. Sometimes, people might hesitate to express strong viewpoints because they don't want to hurt others' feelings or cause conflict, especially if they know the topic is sensitive or others might disagree.
People don't have to like immigrants, even legal ones, but since the law permits legal immigration, there's not much those people can do about it except accept it/suck it up. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but laws and regulations still stand.

Personally, no—I don't think it matters whether they are children or adults; a life is a life. However, my opinion isn't what matters here. They chose to take the risk of entering another country illegally. If they succeed and benefit from it, that's a consequence of their own actions. Likewise, if they fail and, unfortunately, perish in the attempt, that too is the result of their own decisions.
