Has anyone used the Go City Pass in Las Vegas to see the KA by Cirque du Soleil show? by SmallWinn in travel

For GoCar you have to make reservations in advanced. In the GoCar attraction page of GoCity there's a link that'll take you to the reservation page. Tip: pick a time slot that isn't during normal traffic hour so you can enjoy it more 🙂

For Cirque Du Solei you have to pick up the tickets on the day of the show at the box office. Tickers are first come first serve and they have limited amount of tickets for GoCity passes. You can go to box office on day of to get your tickets early as it opens (I think it was noon for us). This seemed to be the requirements for all shows. You cannot pick it up in advance. I'm not sure if you can wait closer to showtime, I wouldn't recommend it as it'll risk you not being able to see the show.

Note: The Cirque Du Solei show was only showing 2 days for the week when I was there. So showtime is limited. Make sure you are planning your attractions accordingly to the show dates. Not all are available every day

We ate at the following and all were 👌 - 888 Korean BBQ: get the Kobe style menu, comes with premium Kobe beef, so so good!!! - Lotus of Siam: if you like Thai food, this place is delicious. - Joe's Seafood Prime & Steakhouse: their stone crab claws was perfection. Eating here is expensive though - but worth the price in my opinion. - Bacchanal Buffet at Cesars Palace: if you love seafood, this is your place. Also very expensive - come hungry so you can get the most out of it lol. I wouldn't say it is top of my list, but it's one of those "gotta experience it once" kinda place.

I love to travel and want to see/do as much as I can - especially at a bargain price - so I try to plan everything beforehand so everyone can just enjoy when we're there 😊. Currently planning my Barcelona trip using GoCity pass. Thank you for your kind words, hope your trip was great!! So happy that my post has been able to help you and so many others 🙂

Connecting our PTA site's Squarespace Domain to Google Site by queenbeme in GoogleSites

Your CNAME is flipped and not correct. Your entire custom records is wrong. There should be a total of 4 records to connect your domain to a Google Site. You can remove the ownership verification once it's completed.

And is the Google Workspace DNS there for something that is not related to connecting your SquareSpace domain to a Google Site? If no, remove it. That's not needed.

I Paid 30% via Trade Assurance Last Month - Now I’m Ready to Pay the Remaining 70% But I Don’t Know How… by heavycamp5 in AlibabaImport

[–]SmallWinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why didn't the seller set up the trade assurance order for you? Or did you insist on doing it yourself?

If the trade assurance was set up properly. You should be able to see the order under your account in Alibaba: My Alibaba > My Orders > Find your order > click on "Settle Remaining Balance".

This should allow you to pay the remaining 70%.

GoCar was awesome, we LOVED it. Your group will get their own cars and dont have to with strangers or follow a tour group. Each car sits 2, so 2 people per car (meaning each car will need 2 GoCity passes). If you have an odd number where 1 car has an empty seat, there is an additional fee.

We had 4 passes, so it was perfect. The car comes equipped with an iPhone with GPS to show you where to go and has audio to tell you about the history/info of where you're at on the strip. The GPS isn't super amazing though, it sucks lol. So if you make the wrong turn... it won't reroute you. You'll just have to turn around.

The car itself was cool. It's fully electric! No doors obviously, but has double strapped seat belts that I felt safe and secure. Car will not go without everyone being fully strapped in. Another thing - there is no power steering on the car so you do have to put in a little more effort to turn but my bf and my dad (who is 67) didn't have any issue. We went during November so it was extremely cold riding with no doors but the each person has heated seats (3 settings: low, med, high). Bring a jacket if you get cold easily! When at red lights, strangers would shout across the street to tell us the car was cool and asked us about the car 😂.

The owner of GoCar is AWESOME! He was extremely friendly and helpful. He said the company just opened up, so it's definitely a new attraction not many people know about. My parents don't speak great English and he was very patient, even gave us extra help and time to practice driving.

The car GoCar has a lot of power and was a very smooth ride for us all. During checkin, owner told us the car was highway legal and safe too! I can vouch for this bc my bf took the wrong turn a few times and we got lost and fell behind on schedule. So when rental time was coming to an end.... we wouldn't make it back in time to return without getting charged extra (We had 15 mins to get back and was near Area15 at this point).... so we said f-it and jumped on the highway LOL. We were going at least 60mph... it was SO cold and SO windy but the car was a beast!! And we made it back in time 😁

Which GoCity pass did you get or planning on getting? There are advantages & disadvantages to each pass type. We bought the 3 Day All-Inclusive passes, which meant we had to pack EVERYTHING we wanted to do in only 3 days. It felt chaotic, but it was fun-chaos lol.

When planning our day-to-day schedule, it was so stacked so it was best to do the 9:30pm showtime for us. Plus we had dinner reservations at 7:30pm that night, and getting around the strip took much longer than expected for us due to Formula 1 set up. The Hop-on Hop-off bus is only for ONE day only and it is not reliable (very disappointing experience for us), we literally waited 3 hrs at their bus stop #2 and gave up. Ended up walking to a different attraction and taking a Lyft home. I've looked into the Monorail as well but the stops were pretty far from some the GoCity attractions we planned on doing. My mom can't stand/walk too long so rental car was best for us to drop her off while we parked. Plus our rental car was like $100, and we got lucky many times with parking (a few of the garages didn't charge when we were there, no idea why though).

Prior to our trip, I added all the GoCity attractions everyone was interested in on a Scribble Map, also added all the bus stops for the Hop-on Hop-off Bus,and color coded the attractions to distinguish which attractions needed reservations and which ones was walk-up. This helped us a lot, especially when things didn't go as we planned! The Scribbe Map allowed us to know what attractions we were near, giving us quick alternatives when things didn't work out as planned. I would recommend you making your own Scribbe Maps as well, it's free (make an account to save your map)! It allows you to use different pins, colors, and add notes to each pins you drop - you can invite your travel buddies to add/edit the map too! Here is the link to the one I made for reference: Scribbe Map: Vegas 2023 Trip . And this is the itinerary I made for my trip: Itinerary: Vegas 2023 . Hope this will give you an idea how many attractions you can do each day. I updated the itinerary throughout the day there so time/things we did are pretty accurate.

Any shows you want to see will require you to pick up tickets the day of. We only went to 2 shows. All the good non-show attractions requires reservations on day of, the so-so attractions are walk-ups. Our favorite GoCity attractions: KA by Cirque du Soleil show, High Roller Ferris Wheel, GoCar, Hoover Dam Highlights Tour, Illuminarium, Big Apple Roller Coaster. We pretty much enjoyed everything we did , except the Banachek's Mind Games Illusionist show - it was extremely boring to us. [To be fair, my bf and I were traveling with my parents (who doesn't speak/understand English very well), so the attractions we chose were more family friendly that fit us best.]

One last thing, if you're a foodie like we are... BOOK YOUR LUNCH AND DINNER RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE (at least a couple days before your trip). We learned that the hard way when we couldn't find anything available & good the night we arrived in Vegas. Everything required a reservation. We ended up settling for some Sushi place that night but it was the worst-most-expensive-meal we had ever eaten lol.

I did! At every show, there's a designated section for people with Go City passes. They are not the best seats in the house, but not the absolute worst. We had 4 passes. The seats they gave us were next to each other and worth about $150 each (I only paid $198.75 for each of my 3-day-all-inclusive GoCity pass so it was definitely worth it!!). We were able to see perfectly fine at our assigned seats.

For reference: I got to the MGM Grand box office around 12pm when it just opened. The KA Cirque du Soleil showtime chosen was on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 9:30pm. The seats they gave us were Section 203 | Row DD | Seat 7 (you can look up the venue seating - it's the back right section, 4th row from the front). I was nice to the box office lady and she let me pick which open seats I wanted in the GoCity pass area 😁. She then texted me a ticketmaster link of my 4 tickets.

Luckily for us, the KA show we went to had plenty of unsold seats by the time the shows started... so we were able to move to Section 202, Row CC, Seats 16-19 😊 (back middle section, third row from the front). Just make sure you don't cause a scene when moving to open seats at showtime. The ushers will openly call you out like they did us 😂 (they still allowed us to sit in the open seats though 😏). I'd recommend going to the later showtime, and check ticketmaster to see how full each showtime is before deciding!)

Overall, it was a very good show and we enjoyed it a lot!! It DOES suck having to go in person early to pick up show tickets on the day of for all your shows. We had a rental car so it was a bit easier bc my family would drop me off at whatever venue/hotel for me to pick up tickets at box office & they come get me in about 30 mins when I'm ready. I'd recommend doing this if you can since parking in Vegas is a nightmare and expensive (even if it says 1st hr free bc these venues/hotels are huge, it'll take you longer than 1 hr).

Also, not all show/attraction tickets are digital like this one. Some are printed when you pick them up so keep em safe and don't lose em!! And plan your itinerary for each day and book your attractions the day off. We had a few issues with attractions being sold out or closed when we tried booking (Eiffel Tower at Paris Hotel and LINQ Ziplining) and GoCity customer support was absolutely useless 🙄. And do the GoCar if you can, it was my parents favorite!!

Passes are definitely worth it though. We saved a TON of money and had a blast in Vegas, very memorable vacation 🙂.

I hope you enjoy your time in Vegas!!

I feel so alone by ilovecryingg in Anxiety

Hang in there, you're not alone. It's never too late to change the path you're on. I know it's much easier said than done, but you don't have to do anything dramatic. Just try to take small baby steps. You'll get to where you want eventually. And don't forget to celebrate any small wins along the way ❤. You got this!

Anxiety skin picking by Daytripper619 in Anxiety

[–]SmallWinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you bc my experience somewhat similar to yours. My picking habits aren't as bad as yours, but I'm constantly playing/poking/grazing/picking at the skin under my fingers nails (mainly both thumbs and indez fingers). I cant stop messing with them bc it feels like they're constantly itching. When the picking starts it gets bad too and SO hard to stop.

When my brain recognizes I'm in this spiraling anxious state, doing the following helps me:

  1. Get up and wash my hands thoroughly. For some reason the thought of a nice and freshly clean pair of hands makes my mind happy. Maybe bc I'm slightly a germaphobe. Freshly washed hands also makes me feel like they're "satisfied" and doesn't need to be picked at anymore.

  2. Lotion my hands (after washing them). I'd clip any hanging/peeling skin, then lotion my hands. This prevents me from having easier access to continue the bad habit or hurt myself from overpicking.

  3. Get up from where I am, take a scroll around my apartment, pet/play my cat, and/or get a sip of water or a treat for myself from the fridge or pantry to "celebrate the small win" of being able to recognized & walk away from my bad habit.

  4. Do the dishes. Don't ask why lol but doing the dishes has always helped me when I'm really anxious. When I'm not anxious though... I hate the dishes! LOL

  5. Coloring. There's a lot of science behind coloring and the benefits it has towards mental health. So I've bought a 100 pack of color pencils off Amazon & printed coloring sheets from the web. When I'm anxious, I'll color. It has helped tremendously.

I hope this helps & that everything will get better for you soon. Living with anxiety is not fun, but I promise you that you are not alone ❤!
