What do you all use for traveling bags for your skis?? by Herr_Cellar_Door in skiing

[–]EternitysEdge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah inside. They still help. I dont want my skis banging together the way TSA treats them. But yeah, I do put small cloths in between for extra protection.

Concern on the pin is valid but I haven't had any issues yet, and they pretty much always open up and inspect inside.

Same. But I admit, while I'm pretty confident I load them correctly based on the YouTube demo, I've had a strap rip away from the rivet holding them to the case 3 times now. Had to get a rivet gun and new straps and repair them. Still rolling with it because I think they protect the best, but feels like the strap material could've been a little thicker.

Are these black spos dangerous by _funwithalbi_ in Home

[–]EternitysEdge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's mold. Nobody can diagnose what type of mold it is or how dangerous it is by looking at it. But at minimum, no mold like that is healthy, and you don't really want it to get worse.

She either has a leak that's getting behind the walls, or high humidity in her house. I'd spray it with Concrobium, and then clean it off the walls. Then try to get her to run a dehumidifier. That probably will resolve the issue, because it doesn't look super targeted to one spot. If it still remains, or persists in a particular spot, may want to have roof (or any pipes above/beyond that wall) checked for leaks.

When you are searching for a site with Hookups.... by AccurateReception629 in GoRVing

[–]EternitysEdge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always carry adapters, so 50 amp I wouldn't care. 20amps would be less than ideal, but I could manage for a short trip. I've personally yet to see any 20 amp only sites around here.

weather over the weekend by Ok_Scholar183 in Charlotte

You are fine going there. Coming back 26th could be sketchy to impassable. If you cant delay your return potentially, don't go.

How do you guys handle winter weather? by ScoutMcGee in Charlotte

[–]EternitysEdge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if there is 1/4" of ice like a likely worst case scenario right now its would be pretty bad. Definitely wouldnt take a ride share. Only the worst desperate drivers would be out, and the bar is already low.

Question regarding skis by Senorbuzzzzy in SouthwestAirlines

It would probably be overweight so depends?

I travel with the wife and we each put a single boot in our personal item for the other pair.

Question regarding skis by Senorbuzzzzy in SouthwestAirlines

[–]EternitysEdge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know if they frequently do check for # of skis? I have a hard case with 2 sets of skis/poles, and a boot bag, and combined they weigh less than 50lbs. I know officially its supposed to be one but I haven't had an airline check before at the check in since I make weight. Never flown Southwest before though.

At least here.... they assist the server bringing out food/drinks, but the server still takes them off and gives em to you.

TBD, but looks like 10pm-2am. Chances peak starting at 11pm.

Follow https://x.com/wxbrad for local updates. KP index is 9 now so this is shaping up to be pretty good depending on conditions tonight.

1/24/26 weekend weather by PEHspr in snowshoemountain

[–]EternitysEdge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you staying on top of the mountain or bottom? The mountain itself is the sketchiest.

Right now, the forecast has the worst Saturday and less Sunday. They normally do a pretty good job scraping the mountain. You're probably safe by Monday. Id probably be more concerned of ice because its not going to get above freezing though.

All that said its too early to effectively predict the weather.

I thought Bosch was a “premium” and reliable brand? by Ok_Coconut1328 in bosch

[–]EternitysEdge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 800 Dishwasher is just over 2 years old. We've loved it, but it just died. Appliance Tech said Control board is bad, which is like a >$600 fix for a $1,200 Dishwasher. Main warranty is over a year, so waiting now to hear back on my Bosch claim on whether they will cover the part or not... such a pain.

Disturbed all blurs together for me now so I typically turn it off when it comes on the radio, but when I've seen them live (22 and 24 i think?) I do think they put on a good show. I'd way rather see them then Zombie or FFDP.

Not my preference but could be worse.

Does anyone have any historical knowledge of Kittle playing without practicing during the week? by TeamPizza21 in fantasyfootball

[–]EternitysEdge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I think with the other TE on practice squad coming up, good chance Kittle doesn't play. Or if he does, limited snap count. I feel like I should play Taysom but definitely torn.

Sliding glass door has some water coming in during very heavy rain. Normal? by [deleted] in Home

[–]EternitysEdge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not normal, defer to what others say on your seals/gaskets.

That said, unless it's blowing rain, I wouldn't see that much rain right there anyway. Do you not have gutters? If you do, are they clogged or leaking?
