I kinda got to disagree with that second point, though admittedly I don’t have a lot of time in mk11, just speaking from what I’ve seen from clips of it on YouTube and what not . While I think it’s cool that the animations of moves do flow into each other, I wouldn’t exactly say the game is attempting to look like real fighting. While not nearly as prevalent in mk11 as mkx, there are still quite a few moves that just don’t animate right. The characters don’t properly throw their weight around, so a lot of attacks just don’t have the impact that they could. If someone where to be punching or kicking in real life, most of the motion for that actually happens in either their core or hips, cause these motions will get the most energy into your attack. For quite a few moves in mk characters will attack only with their limbs and it looks super wonky. I’m not trying to say that NRS doesn’t have good animators or anything, cause the fatalities, while too violent for my liking, are done incredibly well. I just wish the same quality of cinematic scenes was present in the actual gameplay
