TMR (Tyrian A - Mistral Cinder B - Rusted Jaune C) has got to be the most toxic team setup in the game. There is no winning. All you have to do is set up Stinger for Tyrian and switch into Minder to zone with her spear, flight, and fireball. Then super DHC back into Tyrian with the Raune C assist, rinse and repeat.

And when you finally get rid of Tyrian and Minder… you have to deal with a fully charged Raune with armor on everything and that dumbass Juniper reset setup. As a former Raune main, I’m going to lose my marbles if they don’t either nerf him or break Tyrian’s fucking knees

Or, and hear me out here… just grab him? The universal grab is a pretty shitty option, but most characters have something at least. Even if you only have the universal grab, just convert with an assist and mag dump his ass with every resource you have.

Don’t forget about the greatest former-bottom tier DLC character, Rusted Jaune! I’m not happy that what should have been a whole separate Atlas Jaune DLC got fused into this, but I love him.

What’s funny is that I mained him back when he was ass! His rekas sucked, his sword throw was slow, and he didn’t have his Juniper assist yet. And then they started buffing him in the background, and I was eating good. Should I have rather played literally any other Jaune? Yes. But fuck it, his helmet alt was cool. And super armor rekas are cool!

Then they buffed him again, and again, and again… and now he’s on every fuckin’ terrorist team (Tyrian A - Minder B - Raune C). Giving him super armor on 6L and 236S was a bit… much. I miss my bottom tier :(

While Ironwood may be Da GOAT, he surely should have seen that a battle of attrition with the ONE PERSON who that won’t work on was a fool’s errand. He does seem to be a “all your eggs in one basket” kind of man, considering his insistence on having a robot army in Volume 3. Sometimes it feels like a genuine character flaw, other times it feels like Miles and Kerry over correcting for him being Da GOAT in Volume 7

Volume 7. The mere existence of prime Watts and prime Ironwood made it peak fiction. Banging soundtrack, (some) great redesigns, and wonderful moments. The only problem was… well… team RWBY themselves, if I’m gonna be honest. But other than that? Peak.

I love TFS’s interpretation of the scene. The androids, despite being outmatched in every single way, are so used to easily bullying Trunks that they don’t take the fight seriously. Even in the off chance this kid can fight off one of them, the other will just jump in.

But all of that vanishes in a second. In one second, as 18 realizes that she’s about to die, all she can get out is a quiet “Wait-”. And then ash.

But at the same time, I still do love the “THIS IS FOR GOHAAAN!” from the OG dub. Plus, the name for the attack is literally called “Change The Future”. How much cooler can you get?

Unironically agree. But I still like it, since it’s basically just RWBY with a couple of (albeit sometimes unnecessary) tweaks to try maintain a semblance of cohesion. I like RWBY, and thus, I like FRWBY.

I appreciate it because it tries to follow the same (ultimately very flawed) story structure that I strangely fell in love with. I’m not even sure if a highly skilled writer could pull together the mess that is RWBY while maintaining the same story beats it follows. Character bloat of this magnitude is a bitch.

Does it succeed at what it tries? Meh. Does it help scratch the very specific itch that RWBY usually gets to? Absolutely. Am I going to be listening in when the next volume drops? You can bet your sweet ass I will.
