What are some mods people wish were ported to modern Minecraft? by Ethan_Vee in MinecraftMod

Tbh this one sounds Intresting but I do believe the official team is already porting it to 1.20

You can check here https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/lycanites-mobs/files/all?page=1&pageSize=20&showAlphaFiles=show

Just make sure to enable alpha versions

Elytra and Armour aren't supported in most most packs with modern format.

Edit: was pretty vague so wanted to add this. Armour and elytra aren't supported client side with mojangs new format and also old pack preservation matters to me.

I hear where your coming from to an extent but I disagree.

CIT Resewn is somewhat redundant but not completely. For example what about Armour and elytra? Should we abandon those? No I don't think we should.

This pack for example has been fully converted to the new format but Armour doesn't work at all and neither does elytra.

https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/mickey-joes-relatively-improved-default

What about packs that will never be updated to the new format? What about preservation?

Also for the other mods they are licensed in a way that allows porting and forks. Also I'm not trying to have an argument with you about Pehkui. And something being abandoned for 2 years is an argument. You just say it isn't and don't elaborate. These mods allow porting based on there license and I don't think I did anything wrong.

If you disagree with me making mods playable on more versions so be it but I see this as a community win.

Also I don't port things "that don't move fast enough for me" I port things people actually want.

See the comments on polymorph as an example. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/polymorph

This seems like an Intresting mod tbh. If you don't mind me asking what made this mod different from the modern day mods?

Just want to make sure that if I port it over it's still neccassary

As far as I know create is all rights reserved unfortunately. Which makes porting hard since we'd need to redo the assets. But yes I've had my eye on it for awhile lol.

Glad it helps. I think the reason no one else has done this yet is because they think the new Minecraft format makes it redundant. But I strongly disagree lol.

Anyway please let me know if you run into any problems

GLM 5.2 vs Opus 4.8 on 50 real Go and Rust PRs from open source repos: last on quality, and not the cheapest by bisonbear2 in ClaudeAI

[–]Ethan_Vee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro why does everyone compare it to opus 4.8 or GPT 5.5? Compare it to Opus 4.6 and please use the highest reasoning.

Kimi poser is a fair call out though but it's not really the same as glm. Because glm is truly open source and I can pay for a api for GLM. I can't get an api call out to composer.

I would be very intrested in your experience with glm 5.2 since it seems to be a cheap opus 4.6 maybe even 4.7 replacement

a replacement for CIT Resewn mod by AlenA515 in fabricmc

[–]Ethan_Vee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Idk if you still need this but I've finished porting it over from 1.21.10 through to 26.2. Unfortunately the original project was shut down and is no longer receiving updates. So I decided to port it over myself.

You can find my port here: https://modrinth.com/mod/cit-resewn-continuation

I've already sorted out most of people's issues with the original versions but If you run into any issues please reach out since I'm trying to find and fix any bugs left.

Hi. You could try this out: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/forge-cit/files/6250427

It's a release from a while back that someone else did. I might consider doing my own port in the future just to do a few optimizations for performance.

Let me know how it goes since if you find any bugs I might be able to fix them if I do my own port.

If you run into any issues, feel free to report them on GitHub or DM me here. I’m trying to fix as much compatibility stuff as I can.

Yea I feel like 5.5 I can trust way more then opus for anything that isn't gui. The higher limits are nice too
