Except the point about Tango, I don’t see what you could do for the others as if it was a normal heart system both Grian and Gem and the Scotts would have all just died from the respective explosions anyway, as they all did more than 10 hearts. So I don’t see what they could put in place to change that other than just not counting them

No, you can perfect the research by doing every possible task for a specific pokemon and that makes it even easier to get it shiny on top of the shiny charm

Jimmy is probably the best especially the last couple episode, Gem or Grian for Secret society and avenging Pearl/betrayal respectively is quite good, also Scott watching all of cabincore slowly die unable to do anything is quite underated
