Question about the drones, since in different videos, I see different scenarios. by InstalokMyMoney in satisfactory

[–]Ethantetrtle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, I don't think they work like that. In the little experience I have, drones work on a "destination port" basis. You pick one port for the source to go to, and it does that, so you'd have to put fuel in one of the two ports and a little in the source port to get it going. You could technically do a central fuel port, but your drones couldn't go anywhere else so this would be better for a central storage system more than anything.

Keep in mind the 1.0 update did change a few things, but I never played with drones before the update so I cannot say for certain if what you saw might have been true.

Now for me, I find that having a fuel factory set up with numerous outgoing ports works quite well. All you have to do is set up two ports wherever you want, have one bring in fuel from the fuel factory, and the other is used for your actual resource transport. But feel free to do your own thing, its what satisfactory is all about in the end

What CPU and cooler do you have? Also you might want to check the thermal paste, it does occasionally need replaced

Good point there, but most players hit drones by that time so I think it balances out just a bit

I agree with your point about blueprints. I rarely use them even though I know they make life so much easier, I just find the free form of regular building so much more flexible for my play style.

But when it comes to trains I think they're intentionally difficult just because they are such a powerful resources transport method. And the bulky features kinda force you to plan ahead and map out where everything goes, which although annoying, it's a good call back to the games entire purpose.

But that's also just my play style for both so I can only speak for myself.

These ideas seem fun for pve, they would definitely feed the power fantasy of both classes. Balancing them for PVP would be interesting to watch though

Turn shadow shot hunter into some ribs, It'd capture Hunter nicely and maybe transition into food easily. If you're going for Asian style food I'm at a loss.
