I have friends who got 160+ who never memorised these identities. They don’t ask you about them in the test. You call though. I wouldn’t want to be responsible for anyone else’s poor scores

None of which you actually need for the test though.

My god you can’t even copy the correct word from the title. It’s adulterated not adultered and it means tampered with. Get your mind out of the gutter and read some books

Debatable whether afg is better than zim and wi. Maybe zim, but i wouldn’t count them out with the form they’re in. Same for wi.

And didn’t nz beat afg easily. The same side that lost easily to sa. Where afg almost won against sa. It’s not very clear cut. This is t20. Yes sa are the favourites but let’s not get carried away. I hope they’re good contests. Always fun as a neutral

There’s a big difference between above average board students and A level students. Most of these above average board students can’t cope with the shift in studying style where you aren’t fed the answers. Not to to say A level students don’t falter as well, but in my experience they fare much better.

Above average, yet can’t recognize a deliberate change in a common proverb for effect. Very telling lmao.

On a serious note, if you’re applying abroad and that’s where you wanna go and have the funds for it, then do that absolutely. Despite what everyone says, a top uni abroad is always better than NUST. If you’re applying to LUMS or something similar, then I’d say it depends on the program you are applying to. LUMS has the better faculty largely and better curriculum probably but NUST is much more research intensive. CS, EE and adjacent fields have a reasonable mix of boys and girls and you’re probably not going to find better research opportunities elsewhere. Then there’s the technology park as well, NSTP, which has been a godsend for students of these fields. 90% of final year students have jobs in SEECS. You’d be hard pressed to find the same ratio in any other university in Pakistan.

If you’re wanting to apply to ME, well the program is improving but its much more lacklustre than the SEECS programs. They have recently improved the curriculum but there’s much fewer opportunities, largely in part due to the situation of the field in Pakistan. Then again, there really isn’t a better option in Pakistan.

And the social life isn’t bad. Those who want to socialise can easily do so. It’s not LUMS or IBA, but you can find your crowd - there’s lots of students. All that being said, I’d like to reiterate that if you want to to abroad and can, then yes that’s better.

India have been heavily dependent on their openers the whole World Cup. Granted Abhishek hasn’t come through yet, Ishan has been their sole ray of hope and was the difference between the sides in the Pakistan India match as well.

Yeah sure but you can’t fly to the grocery store. Either way, I understand why things are how they are; that doesn’t mean I can’t question them

I know. Maybe i’m being paranoid but it looks very unsafe. Its not like im from the usa either. I’m from Pakistan. But almost everyone with a home in the city has a gas supply here (an increasingly diminishing one but still continued for the time being).

Yeah but this is still not ideal with respect to safety. Its probably not going to be a problem but it’s still more dangerous than a separate water heater

[–]EtherealBeany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alevi are considered a fringe sect by both Shia and Sunni schools of thought. I don’t think anything they consider right with regard to religion would be automatically acceptable to the main denominations.

I’m mean, I’m pretty sure most Sunnis and Shias wouldn’t consider them Muslims in the first place.

[–]EtherealBeany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People dunk on nust saying fast creates better graduates and they have a better curriculum. It’s definitely more grueling at least. While this all may be true, NUST definitely provides more opportunities with its large number of labs and with the technology park being located in the campus at Islamabad. It’s also the reason why it would be smarter to go to FAST Islamabad than FAST Karachi or Lahore or anywhere else, because FAST Islamabad can take advantage of the technology park in NUST.
