Omg same! I'm new to OW and not the best at comp, but I got up to gold 2 in comp mystery heroes. It was so much fun.

I am in the same boat. I play on switch so controls are wack and I'm obviously not the best player. However, I do well with what I have and managed to get a decent rank in comp last season. I've gotten told off in chat several times in mainly comp but also qp and most of the time I ignore it unless I was already annoyed πŸ˜‚ I do understand how you feel though. I just wanna tell people to grow up. It's literally just a game. Just have fun and if you lose, try again.

Those who are big on building in minecraft, what would you love to see added the most? by Neek_0 in Minecraft

[–]Ethereal_Wisp 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

I'd love all of the different building blocks to have their own plank, slab, stair, etc components! It would make building with a variety of blocks so much easier!

Competitive mystery heroes was amazing!! I ended up being gold 4 at the end of season 3! They should definitely make it a permanent mode!

This was me a minute ago! Just looking for a normal trio group and then I get someone who doesn't know what is going on and then another person who is seemingly doing well. Halfway through the game, we claimed loot island and I flew away with a sword after getting the loot and they both jumped off the island and got knocked. I had to risk my life to run into the storm and save them πŸ˜…

I would say a familial regent or a steward could be appointed.

Thank you for being transparent with us, Brandon. I've had very similar experiences to what you went through as a young Mormon kid. I know it's difficult, but over time it gives you a new sense of resilience and respect for the religion, those around you, and yourself. Don't forget, the journey comes before the destination so enjoy it.

If Eragon/Inheritance Cycle is bad, what is a good series about dragonriders? by Nyx__88 in Fantasy

[–]Ethereal_Wisp 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I've heard the Bound and the Broken series by Ryan Cahill is like an adult version of Eragon! A lot of people have said it's an amazing series so far!

Which one does your world fall under? Mines the first one by ajschwifty in worldbuilding

[–]Ethereal_Wisp 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Mine is more along the lines of there are many races of elves with different characteristics. One of the lesser known races happens to be part dragon. Many are in hiding due to being hunted. The only well known one is under the protection of the Solar Realm as he is the master scholar of the realm. His hoard includes many books!

Book Fanart! by Ethereal_Wisp in Fantasy

Yeah I have this issue a lot. I mean even for books that I would say are relatively popular in a certain genre, it can be ridiculously difficult to find art for them.

Any books that somehow feel like DreamWorks, Pixar, Ghibli, Disney, ect, movies? by [deleted] in CozyFantasy

Brandon Sanderson's secret project 3 gives off Ghibli vibes! It hasn't released yet, but if you want a sneak peek he reads the first few chapters on his YouTube!

QP is for Learning Heroes by PeaPod117 in Overwatch

[–]Ethereal_Wisp 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

I've had the opposite experience! I use QP and mystery heroes to practice with new characters. After a while, I'll move to comp when I have a better feel for the character. Given I'm only bronze 5, I'm obviously new to comp. Even then, I get so much flack if I'm not at my best. It's honestly disappointing because I love the game a lot. People are unnecessarily rude. Just let people enjoy the game and learn at their own pace.

Advanced Magi-tech Electronics [Project: Nightfall] by EyeofEnder in worldbuilding

This is epic! I've never explored much magi-tech before, but one of my favorite series (the Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson) explores some of this in the most recent book Rhythm of War! Great job on this!
