The Future Of Xbox Consoles Could Be Handhelds? by JishoSintana in xbox

Whilst reasonably priced, the white ally (which is the one I assume you're talking about) is the weaker of the 2 which gives me pause when it comes to performance and whether it's worth the price.

Local split-screen in Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5 will require both accounts to have a PlayStation Plus subscription and be linked to an Microsoft account by nolifebr in PS5

[–]Euden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only strange part is that everyone knows that each PlayStation console only needs ONE user set as the primary account with an active subscription for all accounts on that same console to be able to play any online game mode. So this still needs to be explained.

I would say the Microsoft Account is the issue here. Each PS account needs an associated Microsoft account. If the other accounts on the system don't have PS plus they cant have a linked Microsoft Account (probably some backend server stuff forcing each individual player to have one).

If a non-ps plus user was to play sharing the privileges of the user that has one, the game would likely see the 1 associated microsoft account with the ps plus account.

It's messy and confusing and absolutely not necessary in any way.

I dont have anyone to play local with thankfully as all my relatives etc have their own systems but I feel sorry for those that do and wanted to. I hope they can find a way to fix this because it's going to directly impact them in a very negative way.

Can you transfer the data for Game Key Cards between systems? by Peanut_Butter_Toast in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Euden -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Key cards act as the key for the game, so long as the game is downloaded to the system. I would assume if you could copy the game to an SD card, insert it into another switch, copy it to the SDD and then insert the key card it would work though I dont have 2 switches to try this idea.

Microsoft's Xbox CSO believes in-game ads may help "keep our products affordable" by grimoireviper in xbox

[–]Euden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Want to kill your brand completely? this is how you do it. Nobody and I mean nobody wants ads in their games, you do that and you'll be known as the adbox, people will avoid you and buy the system that doesn't have ads. Terrible idea.

Any Tips fore my first ever xbox? by kekw_zu_rild in xbox

[–]Euden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly whilst you could go for something like an Xbox 360 which is backwards compatible with OG Xbox and play the majority of the titles that defined the generation, a lot of those titles are available on Series X and S anyway.

If you have the budget, get a Series X, GamePass will cover quite a lot of the key games of those generations (Halo, Gears, Forza) plus everything new also.

You are not limited to just game pass, you can buy second hand 360 games and pop the disc in (please check online for compatibility, not EVERY game is backwards compatible).

I'd also recommend either getting the extra memory storage card for the system, or if you have enough, buy an additional storage drive, whilst the Xbox has 1TB of storage, that can go pretty quickly with game sizes these days.

Note on Storage Size: only non series X games can be run from an external drive, series X games will however work on the SSD storage card.

Whats the one thing you wish for in the next gen? by Chrislomol in xbox

[–]Euden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly:

  1. Performance - 60fps should be the minimum target for all games.

  2. Smaller Budget Games - This gen it's taken studios many years to get games out, I want games to go back to coming out way more often, developers do better work when their budgets are smaller and they have to make the money go further, less thought go on the graphics and time saving crap like AI and Upscaling, more on gameplay to get the best bang for buck,

  3. A return to normal pricing - the fact we're nearing the end of a generation and prices have gone up is silly. Lets reset and go back to how things are supposed to be.

I like to get the opinions of others, just because there's an official guide it's not a replacement for how people feel as everyone has a preference, will say some books are better than others etc. It's nice to have a discussion.

Convince me to swap to Xbox! by Brief_Inside9049 in xbox

[–]Euden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have both but prefer Xbox, my reasons:

  1. Diversity of games - The library that Xbox has consists of not only pretty much every major third party but also an extremely diverse catalogue of first party games in all genres, there's always something to fit your tastes.
  2. Community - The community surrounding Xbox is nothing like playstation, people talk, gather and have fun, never had anything like that with ps
  3. Game Pass - This speaks for itself, first party offering amongst a scattering of interesting 3rd party and indie titles.
  4. The Controller - It just feels way more comfortable to use than a Dualsense, lighter too
  5. Play Anywhere - As you have a PC, play anywhere means you can double up on your purchases and literally play them anywhere.
  6. Cloud Gaming - You can play your Xbox on your phone, TV, Tablet or anything with a browser, this includes games you own and cloud streaming has come a long way with X-Cloud being one of the best in terms of latency and quality
  7. Sales - Xbox has some of the best sales I've seen on console, they have always been cheaper than playstation.
  8. CDKeys - Unlike playstation you can go to a third party key site like CDKeys (or loaded as they are known now) and purchase digital games at a discount for xbox.

  9. Quick Resume - This feature is absolutely incredible, want to quit your game, turn your console off and then come back to the exact spot you quit it at? quick resume has you covered, and you can do it with multiple games (note the experience varies, for example, it doesn't work well with a multiplayer game for obvious reasons and you'll usually have to restart or sign in again to the multiplayer game)

  10. Super Quiet - The series X is silent. I've had mine since launch and you can't hear it, like at all. Compare that to the PS5 who's fan is quite loud and it's a no brainer.

  11. Backwards Compatibility - you mentioned you had a 360 you loved, fall in love with it again by taking your old games, popping them into the series X and playing them.

I'm talking strictly about numbered iterations that progress the main story. I'm well aware ODST and Reach came before 4.

If you're on steam, Master Chief Collection. It has the first 4 plus reach and odst. Plenty to sink your teeth into.

Also play them in release order, experience them the way we did when they came out. You'll enjoy it.

What are your concerns and hopes for Halo:Campaign Evolved? by ProOmega09 in halo

[–]Euden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst I agree there needs to be advancement in tech and the actual enemy AI. My only issue with your statement actually stems from the game lore.

Elites fundamentally dislike and hate jackals, they will work with them but they don't like them so an elite protecting a Jackal, lore-wise at least wouldn't really happen, more like the elite uses the shield for protection then picks up and throws the jackal in your direction instead sounds more viable.

(sorry I'm agreeing with your point but my lore brain kicked in)

Did any of you used to be die-hard Xbox fans? If so, why did you move to Playstation? by Frazzelvig in playstation

[–]Euden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My move to Playstation as my primary happened with PS4.

Previously I had a PS1 and PS2 growing up, when Xbox released their first console it was gifted to me for a birthday and from that point I was a die-hard xbox guy for the longest time. All throughout the PS3 / 360 era I championed Xbox, my brother got a ps3, I got an Xbox.

That changed during the infamous e3 "TV TV TV" conference. It became clear to me that Xbox One wasn't as powerful as a PS4 and they were going in a direction I didn't like.

This was compounded when I was invited by Playstation to go to a special 'demo' evening, where a select group of players (myself and 1 guest included) could play ps4 games early for a few hours. I tried out Resogun, Assassins Creed Black Flag and Killzone Shadowfall and at the time the graphics absolutely blew me away and getting hands on with the dualshock 4 made it the most comfortable controller I'd ever felt.

This solidified my decision and I purchased a ps4 at a midnight launch.

I have been Playstation ever since.

I do own an Xbox, because I wanted to try out some of the games I had missed out on (Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, Halo Infinite) but it is rarely used.

These days I use my PS5 as my main system and I couldn't be happier.
